Yeah I noticed they messed up that.

Maybe the people translating it just assumed Conny was a girl lol

Armin i could understand, but Connie? Then again, it is a girly name....

Translation is actually all over the place with minor stuff like that.
Levi goes from lieutenant to captain back to lieutenant in a few sentences, Nanaba and Hange are men, etc etc. It's just minor stuff so I can read over it, but it shows a bit of slopiness that I don't like in devs and translators.

Maybe they used the day one fansub translations from the anime :steammocking:.

It just sounds like the team who were given the script to translate have never read/watched the series and had no visual queues to work with so they assumed genders incorrectly (omg triggered).

This kind of thing is pretty common when it comes to niche anime title localisations. It's annoying but oh well I guess.

omg... so if i smacked ur gf/wife bf/husband around, well just call it ok cause "from where i am from its ok and normal"... thats great logic. regardless of WHAT or who its for, its ameture at best. as other pointed out the genders and words change so there isnt even consistency. THOUGH it is minor stuff so its easy to get around. i was just joking with a friend its about the same level of Meltys Quest... though if im being honest i think MQ is pro a bit better lol.

it does not take away from the fun of the game, but of course its worth noting for ppl who get triggered or what ever u want to call it from stupid ♥♥♥♥.

Hange is the only one I can see having any kind of ambiguity since it's been a long running theme of his/her character being non-binary. (They use he and she equally for Hange and it's up to the viewer to decide for themselves).

Nanaba is female, but she was actually called a man in the manga at one point because she was androgynous.

As for Conny, that's gotta be a bad translation. Maybe, what is the line?

Well Connie (short for Constance) is a girl's name.

Conny on the other hand is an Irish boy's name.
