There are also other stats to consider to get the most damage such as how long you've been reeling towards a target, a high reel speed ODM will make you reach your max damage quicker but doesn't actually increase your overall max damage. Concentration is also basically your critical hit chance, it also increases your sneak attack damage. Then there are certain skills such as Dueller, Sweep Attack, Sudden Death, Surprise Attack, About Titans: Volume # and Chase Down that will all give you damage bonuses if you meet the conditions of the tooltip.
I'm not very far into the game so I don't have many weapons unocked to purchase but if it's the same as the first game then try going for the Perfected Blades once you unlock them or fully upgraded Ziger Zero blades. Don't forget to reinforce to 99* that will add even more damage (up to 400 more sharpness I think).
This.
I picked up the gun blade which has really realy low durability but high damage. The infernal machine gas is pretty good aswell paired up with this combination.
Not only that, this frees up more points to use on other skills. Because you have decisive battle on and item meister 3, you basically don't need gas/blade saver anymore and dex skills. Or agility(unless you're relying on spinning/swooping slash) because odm movement is affected by agility too.
I understand that this seems to a bit lazy playstyle but it's really effective. They kinda nerfed it a bit because in the first game, your allies with you usually attacked. They still do in this game but not as much as you'd want it to be(they replaced the buddy skills to have more variety which I really like. The S+ skills are great).
The flame blade set is pretty good too, it damages all the other parts of the titan when you attack a specific part.
There's also quite a lot of combinations to the game, someone mentioned a tonic build. Tonic basically enables you to move fast while being injured. There's a skill that allows you to deal a lot more damage when you're injured so I'm going to assume that's part of the build.
Late game there's quite a change in playstyle for me because when you reach inferno mode, what playstyle you had before that is going to be semi irrelevant. I find myself quite a few times in inferno mode now.
Goodluck.
It enhances the 'Battle Alert Signal,' a consumable item that gives you a temporary power up. Some characters like Armin or Erwin can activate one as part of their buddy action.
1. It lasts 40 seconds.
2. Killing a titan extends the duration.
3. Decisive battle extends the initial duration to 50 seconds.
4. Item Meister 3 + Decisive battle extends the initial duration to 68 seconds.
5. Item Meister 3 + Item Meister 2 + Decisive battle extends the initial duration to 80 seconds.
-Swoop Attack
-Spinning Slash
-Mid-Air Blade Swap
-Tail End Rise
-Strong Bonds
-Advanced ODM Skills LV 3
-The volumes of About Titans
And also make sure to equip lots of stat boosts for Strength and Concentration. The latter increases the chance of getting a critical hit.
