"The product doesn't need to work, nor be finished, the consumer just needs to buy it. Whenever the missing content is finished we'll pretend it's DLC and charge more money for it"
Also, if you're running an SLI setup I found a stable profile setting that should give you decent scaling. Just create a profile for the game in either Nvidia control panel, or in Nvidia Inspector and use these settings
SLI compatibility bits (DX10 + DX11) -----> 0x088000F5
NVIDIA predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode on DX10-----> 0x00000004
NVIDIA predefined SLI mode on DX10-----> 0x00000002
That sounds like an issue the first game had. Open Nvidia Control Panel, go to "Manage 3D settings", click the Program settings tab, open the AOT2 profile (you may have to make one) there should be an option to choose which GPU to render with. If it's set to use an "integrated gpu" that's probably why your getting the FPS drops. Just switch it so it's using your 1080ti. Only other option, so, pretty easy to fix. If it still persists, then something is either defective, or the PC Master Race gods hate you lol
Appreciate the response. Spent a couple hours on this again tonight. I trhink I got the PC shutting off fixed by clean installing drivers. However, Theres no options in NVCP for selecting the gpu. I think I have seen it before but maybe it is not even a thing anymore?
Regardless, even after other various potential "fixes" I get about 10-15 minutes into a game then my framrates degrade to crap. Funny thing is MSI afterburner OSD shows the GPU usage drop from the 90s down to 40-50% but if I switch to Windows task manager, windows is saying the GPU is using the 90+percent as it should.
Whatever, between this, Far Cry 5 being stuck in night time, and Wolfenstein 2 DLC being unplayable due to crash dump errors, I wonder why I spend so much money on PC gaming......
Thanks again friend.
