Nanaba's gender?
So i coulda swore i read that even the editors refer to Nanaba is she so for like the last few years i've just assumed so. Yet the journal entry in game straight up uses "he" whats going on?

I'd like to type this up to a typo as the journal is full of them my favorite being chritsas entry "Ymir dosent happy about these frequent infirmary visits" but i never thought itd be as bad as misgendering a character. I get Zoes suppose to be a debate but i never thought Nanaba was a question.

Nanaba is a woman. As for the error, the english text translation throughout the entire game is very very poor. As it is, a lot of the time what is written in subtitles is unrelated or completely skewed in context to what is actually being spoken.

I figured as much. i love the game and its amazing i just wish they took a bit more time on the translation. like despite our character having a choice of gener you are refered as a he.

"He" could also just be used as "Person"

Like inside-man

The narrator says kare [彼], which is masculine. Kare as a word is definitely masculine, make no mistake about it, kareshi is the word for boyfriend, for instance. But for context, it was meant in a neutral way, like the way soldiers are referred to as "men". While the cast in the ending refer to us by aitsu [あいつ], which are non sex specific. Yet the subs still referred to us "he" in that instance.
Hange just called us kono ko [この子], or the child/kid. But she also calls titans that so... it's Hange >.>
Nanaba is female. However, the English translation is very poor, and in one instance for an entire conversational piece, Conny is referred to as a girl.

also In the final story mission the character Niles text reads "wall Sheena" instead of Sina like the rest of the characters throught the entire game.

The game costs 60$ and they can't even get a good translator lmao

Don't even get me started on the font used for the text

There's also one dialogue with Annie where she refers to Conny as 'she'.
