Co op stopped working?
So I bought the package on steam for 60 that includes both games. The first game was cool but I never finished it, and was really liking it. Friend of mine bought it, so we started doing co op. Looked online at some stupid workaround you had to do, to be able to play online since 1. there is no join/invite function and 2. progress is only saved for one player. I figured ok whatever, at least we can still play. Was able to join right as soon as he was able to put up a distress call easily.

Well that worked until just now. He put another up but I didn't see it. Restarted games, still nothing. Then I noticed this was the first mission that he was calling for that I myself hadn't completed.

Did they seriously not allow co op in story unless 1 player has completed it? I'm really hoping there's a setting I'm missing or a workaround that I'm not aware of. As far as I remember not even the first game was like this, we were able to co op from the start until the game was completed with no issues.. what the hell.

Only one who played can help another, SOS or another mode, you only can create lobby with chapters you have finished... if that is what you are asking for.

so we can't start the game together at the same time? one of us has to finish the chapter first and have to restart it if they want to play together? :/

Yeah... really bad design by the developers. I ended up just beating the entire story mode alone BY MYSELF during the week, then being able to play with my friend on the weekend. Not even co-op, as we also noticed the scout mission progress only saves for one player as well, and you can't do the territory control mode co-op either, unless yet again, one person does all the missions first lol. Ridiculous decision for a multiplayer game in 2019.
