Normal or Hard on first playtrough

Hi there,
I played the first game for a bit on normal and it was way to easy, I started playing this one on hard and I guess I'm currently near the end of the first chapter.
I like the general difficulty on hard but those special titans with weakspots are an absolute mess to kill especially if I want to cut of the limbs to gain extra materials. It just takes way to long.
My question is should I go to normal to power trough the game and then restart with inferno or do you think I should stay on hard?

If you feel like you can handle hard mode with your current gear then go for it!
However, if you get stuck on certain missions switch the difficulty and clear it. The real challenge is the inferno mode!

i think the starter weapon is quite difficult for hard game play since it's a bit slow but it is possible

Didn't expect to get an additional answer that late. Played hard without issue and started inferno. First had some issues but after switching to range gear its a cakewalk.
