No thank you. If I want to see events through the eyes of main characters, I'll watch the Anime or read the Manga. Not a single reason to step on player agency & escapism. Can't believe I had actually been excited for this. Looks like I'll be investing my money elsewhere.

In a sense, yes, I think our character "died". However, if we see at the post credits at the very final mission where you have to retrieve the 'crystal' back from the titans, we see our character reaching out seemingly alive. I think the creators just decided to not include our custom character for some reason in this new upcoming dlc.

I thought that the ending was really good. Me dying for the sake of everyone else made for an epic moment and I am clad that they didn't pull some "But wait some how he survived and here he is alive and well" sort of stuff. Going to my top 1 ending this year (yet)

Personally, I hope that he/she comes back as a titan shifter that you get to customise and so he/she comes back because he/she turned into a titan and stayed alive.

You felt wrong, Suzuki. And based on fan feedback? Where were these open polls? More enjoyable to play as main characters? I've seen events through their eyes in the anime & manga and now I need to see it again in game? Come now. Thanks for making it an easy decision to invest in other upcoming titles that actually respect player agency. You've stripped my identity from the game as well as my interest.

odds are, they where all done in Japan, and he is assuming that we all want it that way
