The colossus is broken - game gone wrong
So, I left Sophia in the dungeon because she's a miserable cow, moans and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about everything and was getting on my nerves. I made it to the colossus with the frog statue, put a bead in it's mouth then aligned the three stone discs so full sun and moon are pointing at the horns and the world stone on city ("well aligned"...?) - doesn't work. I tried various combinations of the stone discs and nothing worked. I also put 10 beads in the frog statue because that's what the book said.

I checked a longplay video on Youtube and the player positioned the discs in a seemingly completely random way, certainly not "aligned" and that worked. I tried the same and nothing happens.

Thinking I'd broken the game by not bringing Sophia I reloaded and rescued her and now she's here in the room with Indy but I still can't get the discs to work.

I think I've broken the game.

So I think I know where you are at in the game, but not 100% can you expound on this frog statue? Is it a room that you climb up this pyramid looking thing? Are we talking inner or outer ring? Its been a while and I don't remember what statue looked like a frog.

It's fine, I managed to figure it out. I didn't know that the content of the Plato book is random and not the same for every playthrough (hence why other players walkthroughs on Youtube don't work). The puzzle in the colossus is also randomised with the solution from a mural on the wall of the lava room with all the doors - which changes if you go back and fourth.

The colossus is right at the end of the game in the centre of the Atlantis city where "many freaks of nature" are created. Anyway, I completed the game...21 years later!
