ScummVM and Steam
I downloaded a game, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. I am wanting to load the game through ScummVM to access more features. Where does Steam load the datafiles needed for ScummVM to access? Basically, where is the default location of the Indiana Jones files needed for ScummVR?

You can try with the game files located in Steam\steamapps\common\Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis\ATLANTIS

Apparently it does work with 1.7.0 and up according to some users:

Earlier versions of scummVM didn't have support. Likely for legal reasons. See discussions here: http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=9628

For the detection of Steam version ScummVM needs the exe file, you must point ScummVM to the main directory, not to the Atlantis folder as is usual in scummvm . The same with The Dig.

That's great advice and it works. I may just play it again, my first time with the "Talkie-version".

Stupid question... Where can I find the .exe files? My Windows 10 search apparently sucks. :(

"(Your Unit Letter):\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis"

Pointing ScummVM to that folder should be enough

I cannot find this. When i look for steam in my computer it only has the application and none of these files. Did I do something wrong?

You don't really have to see it yourself. Open the file folder in SCUMM, and it will "see" it itself. Hope that helps!
