if you want to learn Japanese, I don't think this is the best place to start.
and if you don't want subtitles, I think you can disable subtitles.
Hiragana is difficult for even advanced foreign learners to understand due to homophones. It's really useful only for Japanese children. Recognizing the radicals in kanji to become more comfortable looking up unfamiliar words in a dictionary takes a lot of time, but kanji is very preferable after that hurdle.
