You'd better report that file to your antivirus vendor to check if it's a false positive, and it likely is :steamfacepalm:
Well, maybe Valve would do your job as well. I'm sure they check games against best antiviruses, so it's extremely unlikely for any malicious things to be found here.

You seriously think they don't care if thousands of people/computers will get infected and scandal breaks out and their reputation plummet? That's really dumb.
They don't care much for things that require human interaction, looks like they're constantly understaffed, but virus scanning for sure is automatic.

And i still haven't heard a case when malware were found on Steam servers, it's *always* false positive.

I submitted my logs to WebRoot and they fixed the definitions, it was a false positive, I reinstalled the game but it still wouldn't open on my computer, tbh I'd just stay away.

Yeah there were a few games that were actual viruses on Steam. They got removed eventually but it took some time.

Also Valve understaffed? A corp that's making millions in profit? Oh boo-hoo. Time to pick their sh*t up and do some actual store management.

Thanks for that. Maybe your local definitions haven't yet got updated?

I haven't yet heard about them, do you have good sources?

Yeap, have you tried their tech support? Answers to even simplest issues take at least two weeks, some time before month was a typical waiting time.
Have you seen amount of spam even in Steam official groups? Only recently they managed to clean that up a little, but guess what? They managed to delete ALL my posts everywhere from last year and earlier. How? I reported a spamer's post and they decided to mass-delete his every post without ability to restore. But by mistake they clicked me instead… I'm serious, i was pretty pissed off, they admitted the mistake, but weren't able to fix it.

I cant remember what the game was but it was one of those asset flip games some time ago.

Can't deny that Steam did improve a little but have you tried Amazon? Steam is full of BS and i think its mostly due to have Valve is run with no clear leadership (besides Gabe) and everyone more or less having an ability to do what they want. The company isn't run like a corp, which it is, and we're suffering for it. They need more strong competition and a great reduction in sales, hopefully that would be a kick in the behind to get them sorted but I cant see that happening anytime soon with their business diversified between storefront, cards/community marketplace, dota/csgo and...HL3 :D

Oh, that's different. It's an old game, might be tricky to launch. Works well in my Windows 7 x64

Try this thread maybe:
