Pick up items from floor

Complete vr newb, using occulus rift. How do I get items from the floor? I can't get low enough before the controlers hit my actual floor

We can't either most the time. Have to recalibrate room scale on vive just about every day.

Ive found that setting my floor position a foot less than my actual height fixes this problem. (under the devices tab in the oculus client)

garbage cant pick up items you drop and so glad it was a demo if i had paid for this i would jump off a moving car

I've found that if you lay the part of the controller you hold on the floor, this allows you to pick items up or nudge them with something else, like the drill, on to the raised part of the golf game you can then pick them up.
