Sequel of Slain: Back from hell

So at the end of Slain: Back From Hell you go in space to kill some aliens (i think). Is this a sequel?

Let's hope it has a better launch than Slain did. That game was my first refund on Steam. I haven't tried it again since they relaunched the game.

It's pretty fun now. I didn't play the game before they remade it but I had a blast playing through it. It end on a weird cliffhanger though so I hope this game will continue the story

I considered rebuying it, but I was soooooo disappointed when I bought the original on release that it really soured the idea of buying the new version. Maybe I'll give it another shot one day.

@Raoul we're referring to it more as a spiritual successor rather than a sequel. This is what the game's creator Andrew Gilmour says on the subject:

"Slain and Valfaris are set in the same universe. During Therion’s travels through Valfaris he will encounter some familiar friends. Not to give too much away though! But, yes, the stories are intertwined."

Yeah, now thinking about the same universe, one can recall the hand and a sword at the end of Slain! and the phrase about the machines, and connect them with Valfaris ;)
