i ran out of money cant pay wages to my staff and i have 0 items in storage?

more statements that the economy (or possibly just the wages) is ridiculous early on. I thought the game wasn't about clicking on your pet. ...according to the achievement i got relatively fast.

As someone who just started today, I had no issues at all managing my economy. I didn't even know you could click the dog until I saw this post, and only did it when I looked through the achievements. I feel that if you're careful early it's nearly impossible to run out later on. Especially with the 5 minute quest if you do it every time.

I have 2 different saves and one that I restarted, and at no given point have I had issues with money. To whom may have trouble with the game's economy: Keep balance on your crafters' stat at the beginning. Use 1 or 2 specialised charas for expeditions, once you know where to get what, it's nearly impossible to have negative incomes. Check the older posts, lots of useful information too

Its easy to not plan that well and get stuck. I accidentally bought a 2nd crafter table instead of a forge and was short about 100 gold from getting that forge table, and was kind of stuck. Not knowing about the pet clicking at the time, my solution was to restart the game in another save slot since I was just starting and choose the tables I wanted. Later I went back and fixxed this save to get the 2nd of 3 cheevos for the war.

So you got stuck because you purchased something you weren't meaning to, literally quit that save, and later came back to use the dog.
... you aren't helping the case :P

After I made my first loan payment, I realized that I left myself nearly too broke to even craft a crappy iron hammer or something cheap just to sell for more money. I ended up scavanging some gear from one of my "advanturers" to be able to afford the wages to fulfill a 5m quest and work my way back up from there. Lesson learned - always tuck away some scrap gear you can ditch quick if you accidentally drain your reserves.

I never bothered to use the pet in this save, I did get these pet clicking achievements in my 2nd save slot, fixxed game. I used it to get the chili/lemon war stalmate/no one wins. 3rd slot was used to get the lemon victory.

I'm still struggling for the dog lover/Kevin hero to show up, probably in my 3rd save slot where I used the dog pet.
