Official Multiplayer Registration

There is no information within game on how/where to register for the official multiplayer server. The last time I played this wasn't required as far as I know.

There really should be a link provided in the client to where you do this(you need to make a forum account).

Completely agree, I already had an account but my friends got very annoyed when we could not play together.

Unless its been changed in a day, it does tell you however it only tells you if you hover over the text box to put your username. I do agree it should tell you when you try to log in or something though.

We're working on this and other reported issues for the next update, which hopefully will be out after the weekend or so.

What is your forum account name? You can email forums AT wesnoth.org with this info as well and we'll activate your account by hand.

From my guess, since they support the game themself with their own server list, it will always be under the forum account, they literally have no reason to take it over to Steam.

You're able to direct connect to other players/servers, only the official server list requires a forum account. If you just want to play with a friend its not necessary.

@LOTOX How could I direct connect? Its just friends I've made over steam so I don't know anything personal.
