That said, it might also be a good excuse to purge the ol' leaderboards. Maybe set up seasonal ones instead? Cheaters could brute force their way to the top once, but having to do it every few months would turn most away.
I'm not looking to take anyone off of any projects. I just happened to notice that one day leaderboards worked, next day, no longer working. Cheaters are inevitable. You'll never stop it, so I just ignore it. I think for me I just happened to notice that there was a leaderboard for the various arcade games.
I remember back on Xbox 360 there was a game that had old arcade games like Atari and Colecovision, Intellivision etc. and that one had leaderboards as well, when the game was still new and the servers were still up.
But it's not about having to be number 1, it was just nice to see how I was progressing. If leaderboards no longer function like how they were, it's not a problem. Just was curious about it, that's all :)
I played that on xbox it was fun! It was called Game Room
Yea, it still works, I have it, but you can't buy any new games, and the leaderboards, the replays, co-op are all gone,
