Gameplay tips
Some generic tips that might make things easier for some.

* Apples are the best healing item by far because they're cheap and stack to 99 (cheapest in the starting village). Just pause and heal in any battle

* Check weapons and armor you find to see if they have Rune Stones - don't sell these if you need the Rune Stone, us Discard and you have a chance of recovering the rune

* Don't sell items that look like they might be used in crafting (coal, lava core, mythril ore, mysterious hair, etc) - these allow you to have the smith in Esgonian Junction and Bluereel Village to make you some really nice weapons - Example - the smith in Bluereel can make you a Trampler sword for 15k gold or so if you have 1 each of: iron ore, black iron ore, branch, and coal. There are other weapons he can make with other items that I haven't seen for sale or drop in game from enemies.

*The armors and armor vendor in Wheattawn sells a weapon call Silver Moon that has 200 DMG and costs 1 mil gold - game changer, get this if you can farm the gold. With Silver Moon equipped Vivian mows through just about anything with one or two combos. The next best sword, Trampler doesn't even come close to the speed and damage you do with Silver Moon

* Best place to farm gold is in the Throne Room - travel there and go a few rooms to the left where the big knights are. The first room has 2 big knights and the second farther left has 1 knight and 2 archers and a spear trap in the floor. If you run these 2 rooms you get around 2k per pass or 3k if you have luck items and skills maxed

* Best way to quickly mow through the knights is to double jump over and hit the Shining Assault Rage Ability. This kills any nearby arches outright and really damages the soldiers

* The bum NPCs in Wheattawn and Bluereel Village will give you a rune stone if you keep talking to them/giving them gold. The bum in Bluereel gives you one (Rune Stone ING)that makes you immune to status effects (poison)

* The wealthy merchant NPC in Whattawn offers you some prize for 50k if you have at least 100k gold on you (he won;t go into this dialog if you don't have at least 100k gold). You don't get to see what he sells you before you agree - this is only a regular amulet accessory and not worth your gold

* Farming the rift in the chapter 4 boss area, Magnus Workshop is a really good way to farm maxed rune stones - level IV rune stones drop here and I've not seen them elsewhere

* The Workshop rift commonly drops a vendor item called a Crystal Ball - these vendor for 20k, or 22k if you unlocked the sell back to vendor for 10% more skill. This covers the cost of the rift entry of 20k. The rift also commonly drops a golden goblet, often in addition to the crystal ball. The goblet sells for 10k and if both drop you're 10k+ ahead of the rift entry cost, so you can challenge the rift until you're broke, go sell and usually either break ever or make gold.

* While stats depends on the rune stones you have equipped, at present Vivian has the following stats after farming all level IV rune stones: HP 385, Rage 220, ATK 319, DEF 161, CRI 7.5%, LUK 5 to give you some idea how bad♥♥♥♥♥she gets from chapter 3 to end of chapter 4

* NEW - The rift in chapter 4 rarely drops type V rune stones

* The wealthy merchant NPC in Whattawn: aseels you 2 regular amulets, then sells you a Bloody Moon sword with 1/2/3/4/5 damage. IDK if it is a joke or you can actually fix the sword later on.

Where can you find the rift for workshop? It is usually near the boss room but I dont have it there. Or is it unavailable for pc version for the time being?

The rift for workshop is back past the green giant boss dude

Yep found it, not by your direction mind you as I couldnt remember green giant boss so I just swept the map. Honestly this looks like the best rift of the ones available. I am not sure now if I tried the second one but the 1st and 3rd are simply annoying. One has boss with shield and the guy who drops mines and what not and the 3rd has those annoying bosses who can only be damaged by attacking certain part of their body. This rift with just a bunch or regular monsters with the only annoying thing being slow from ice magic is great.

Also thanks for the tips, the one with apples was the most useful although it seems they are not available for purchase at the first village (at least not at normal difficulty). They sold pretty much everything except apples :D but I could easily last with bunch of potions and food dropped from monsters so it wasnt a problem.

I found the Bloody Moon Sword on the first map in Brocleyshire. In the northern part of the map near the Battlefield Camp campfire, there's multiple sword and armour piles that can potentially drop it. It's only dropped once, and only when I went back there late in the game, so I don't know more of how to get this. At least it'll save the 300k coins.

To improve on the gold farming beside the Throne Room, figure out the exact tiles that the enemies will spawn. Once you kill all the mobs from the spawn, quickly backtrack over the tile to cross over the exact spawn trigger to get them to spawn again. It should only take a few seconds if done right. This way you can focus fighting in the area, and can even leave drops on the ground until you need them for rage.

I reloaded my game quite a few times near the Brocleyshire camp but those piles just won't drop the sword, also the apples are sold the cheapest at the snow village for a mere 200G unlike the usual 1500G (190 if you have the buy-cheaper skill)

Carrot and Egg Not bad cheapest at the snow village.

It only happened once, and I'm not sure what caused it to drop. I think I got the sword before through the merchant who charges 200K, then reloaded it before doing so. Not sure if it is in any way related. I tried getting the sword again later too and didn't get it to drop, so not sure what the key is.

you might have come across something unintended by the devs unless they say otherwise but I'll try again after I actually get through the merchant

Went through the area again about 4 times and got the sword again. Found it in the middle of the 5 stages, near the multiple pile of swords. It's not a one time thing, but I don't know what makes it drop in the first place.

Awesome tips. Just got to Magnus' Workshop and found myself getting aggravated at all the traps and annoying enemies. Seems my main problem was my lack of strong equipment and ability tree usage so it's about time I finally start farming a bit.

But for the Trampler sword, where do you find black iron?
SamuelHans Jan 5, 2018 @ 6:16am
While I can't remember where to find the Trampler sword, I find that the Ikazuchi is the sword I generally prefer over all others, even the Silver Moon. I think I like the rage generation with the speed along with the already high damage. The other higher damage swords have advantages when farming when relying to one-skill shot enemies, but to me was slower overall.

I just got this sword to drop in that area too. This is after I cleared the workshop. What do you mean by save 300k coins? And what is the point of this sword, because the damage is low. It is really fast though, much faster than even the lighting swords.
