Controller support
Hi,

can anybody tell me how good controller support is implemented? I'm wondering whether this could be played locally with controllers only. It says "partial controller support" on Steam, but I have absolutely no idea what that means.

Any hint will be very much appreciated!

Just tried the demo. Apparently, there is no controller support implemented. Too bad-- this could be a very nice couch gaming jewel. No option for me, then.

I'll keep an eye on this and buy it later, if and when it has controller support.

The game has support for multiple DirectInput and XInput devices along with rebindable actions per player. The controller can be used for all gameplay as well as menu navigation. The controller cannot however be used for the level editor. Hopefully this answers your question, and apologies for the late response.

Hi nommiin, thanks for the reply. I don't mind late responses at all. How come the demo then does not let me navigate through the menu with a controller? Is the demo based on an older version of the game?

Your response sounds too good to be true!

The game starts with mouse controls, from which you will need to select controller in the options menu. Try checking if it detects your controller in the menus

Thanks, I'll try that!

No controller detection in the menus from Steam Link. This is pretty inconvenient because I need to run all the way to the basement to enable controller support to get it to work. Is there a way you can make this automatic?

I came across the same issue. It works, if one knows how to make it work. Nevertheless, controller support could use some work. I'm using the Steam Link, too, and using a mouse is no option for me.

Thank you both for your feedback, we'll be looking into improving both automatic controller detection and better support in future updates.
