what is the primary factor putting you atop the list? does winning percentage matter?

It's basically like sports team rankings. Wins - Losses. Abandons count as losses. Ties are ignored. So both win percentage and volume matter. You have to have a good win rate, but you also have to prove it over a large number of games. It's simplistic, but we hope to do something more sophisticated eventually.

OK, so to be clear, percentage doesn't matter in the actual determination? Player A with 110 wins and 90 losses will be listed higher than Player B with 19 wins and 0 losses?

(Player A has 20 net wins with a 55% win percentage, Player B has only 19 net wins but with a 100% win percentage.)

Yes, in the current implementation that is true.

OK, so I'm at 44 wins and 18 losses (and 1 tie) for this month. Net 26 wins. Am I remotely close to Tier I? Need to work out whether it's worth going on an all-night AoR spree to get on the leaderboard!

Would be great to see people's actual scores on the leaderboard.

Just so you know, there is something not lining up with the statistics. My in-game "Empire" view says I reached rank 60 last month, but the official list on your website has me at number 40. And for the current month of August, my record is 23-1-0-0, but I'm only at Tier III "Realm", which can't be right, I think. Perhaps the cut-off dates aren't aligning somehow?

Thanks for letting me know, I'll look into it.

This is still the same stats system we had during our original beta, and it's definitely due for an update. I have plans to redo it with a more transparent ELO system.

Are August's results going to get published? It says I was number 1. Just interested to see if the actual leader list also displays this. Always nice to see!
