Possible to side with a tribe other than jagni or myriad?

What it says on the tin. If you explore past the tutorial zone, can you join with one of the other tribes instead of the limited two you're first provided? And/or, will there be any way to change tribes partway through the game implemented? I want to join the netra and champion their cause specifically.

I'm pretty sure you can walk past and go to one of the other tribes, but also you can speak with any of the other tribes and change your alliance at any time. They explain this to you after you defeat your first rival.

IMO nothing wrong with picking one of the first two tribes, destroy first rival, then find the tribe you actually wanna ally with.

thanks! I was trying to change tribes before having defeated the first rival, and I seem to remember the game telling me very seriously when I made my choice that I was locked into an endgame choice. Will give it a shot after defeating the rival.

New Game+ is supposedly giving you the choice to allign with any tribe from the beginning. Only the first playthrough locks you early to the first two. I haven't finished the game yet though, so I cannot confirm that feature.

I believe you only need to take one outpost for either Jagni or Myriad before you're able to switch allegiances to any of the 6 tribes (you don't have to conquer the entire tribe). You'll get a brief cutscene when that option opens up.

That is correct, It shows a quest marker for each of the outposts you can become an ally with at the start of New Game+
