PLease HELP fps locked at 30 after update drivers " solved"

For whatever reason , new nvidia driver killed my fps. After re installing old driver, enter the game it was stuttering and locked 30 fps while in game but not in menus and during boot. Changing the graphics settings to full screen, turning v sync off, then changing back to borderless and turning sync back on , for whatever reason this solved the issue. im now pulling a whopping 45 to 60 fps once again.



only biomutant seems to be effected at this point

I updated to new version of geforce driver, upon finish a ton of my pc settings were ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I use a 55" tv as my main monitor because im mostly blind, so i am used to settings being weird any time i install , update , etc software.

I booted up biomutant hoping it would fix my fps drops in game during fights in heavy models. Only to find out that instead the game is now fps locked at 30. It wont go one frame over while in game.
It boots at 60 like normal then it caps at 30 in the world.
I manually downloaded an older version of driver now it still caps at 30 but many of my settings were fixed. WTF do i do now? i cant seem to figure anything out with this.

i9 10900k
gtx 980 super
32 ram
win 10
nvidia driver 466.11
" not sure if correct as super is not listed only standard 980 and ti " i chose the standard"

Would you be able to disable VSync ingame and try seeing how that changes your fps? Make sure Framerate Limit is also set to 60, not 30? Settings were reset.

thanks, but i did try to mess with the settings up down, on off etc. also the first thing i tried was the frame cap i assumed it had changed after updating.

Srry this was locked when i came to respond i thought it somehow got deleted. The post was not accessible any longer. I just now noticed it is.

i do not know why but i had to go into full screen, switch back to borderless mode again. It was in that mode so i dont understand why it fixed it but it did. I also had reinstalled the previous driver version and no t upgraded as of yet. I had no more issues other than fps drops in some poorly optimized areas.
