I've got GTX 1660 Super and newest video drivers.
So far, fixed fps via ingame options is doing the trick.
Still, this is something that shouldn't be happening.
If they added an option to adjust the particle density of the fog that'd be great.
(Also the game really needs a Lock-On system but that's not really relevant to this topic)

UPDATE: After reading into some suggestions, I inserted -dx12 into my properties and have since had no issues with frame drops or lag. Almost always 60FPS or higher.
Old post but thanks! Just started playing and my fps dropped like 40 when exploring Bricktown. Enabled dx12 and now its butter smooth
