I love being OP so I'll be doing pure caster (psionic).
I hope that post launch they will balance out the classes and such so that Harder difficulties actually increase the challenge. I've seen multiple sources saying game is too easy on Hard.
We need like a Hardcore mode for those of us who want a real challenge.
From what I've seen, pure casters end up way too op and can just shred every enemy if you dump everything into intelligence.
Psi-freak - caster - ("magic") is its own class.
Yup, you can use spells etc with every class
Firearms are really strong most of the time (some enemies are immune to bullets) and allow a great survivability as you are ranged and can jump and dodge while attacking (mage can't, but the Psy-freak can have some life leech on spells).
Among firearms, double guns is really strong (even with a less op class) and Dead-eye has exclusive passives that increase fire rate (already really fast is you spam click instead of holding click) and DOUBLE damages for double guns (nothing come close to such damages boost).
Moreover, the class starts with the strongest passive (available for all classes) of the game that allow to instantly reload AND give a boost of damage (the boost could be removed and the passive would still be the strongest - instant reload is THAT good).
Bonus: firearms don't need stats so you can leave all stats at minimum, a few points to increase move speed and dump everything in luck for crit chances and extra loot.
I was going for Merc until I discovered that Psy-freak not only gets a boost in psy skills but also has an exclusive starter skill (electric variant of the fire ball that every class may unlock), so now I am pretty inclined towards this, don't mind being OP... I am playing for the exploration and fun, not the difficulty anyways.
