"Americrap" Is an overrated piece of media beloved only because of nostalgia, and cultist fandom. Usually seen out of studios centered in cities like Montreal, Austin, and Anaheim. Examples, Blizzard everything. Bioware perennially, and the entire game catalog of Bethesda. These companies' products are known for their lack of innovation. Sloppy, dated, animation, and gameplay, as well as their voracious marketing departments.
What would be the difference between Outriders, Mass effect, Elder scrolls, and Biomutant? This is Experiment 101's first game, and it was done by 20 people. I can cut them some slack and not judge a whole region.
To all my EU friends, I apologize for the American education system and its apparent lack of geography courses.
gothic is also decidedly eurojank and it's from germany
The entire game catalog? That seems harsh.
You're telling me you didn't enjoy Elder Scrolls: From Hell, Post-Apocalyptic Elder Scrolls, Elder Scrolls: Dragon Edition, Elder Scrolls: Las Vegas Strip, Elder Scrolls: Where's My Son?!, Elder Scrolls: Cash Grab Online, Elder Scrolls: Cash Grab Online Version 2.0, or the recently announced and much anticipated Elder Scrolls in Space?
Ok, so bad game design just originated from Eastern Europe, but it doesn't have to be developed there. Got it. So, which American titles are eurojank? I mean, by that logic, any game made anywhere can be eurojank, you've already said that they don't have to be from by urban definition where it says they have to be.
I’ve never been a Mass Effect fan. And I think you misunderstand me, I’m not criticizing BioMutant but those who expected it to be a AAA game.
Also, BioWare is a Canadian company.
Most Europeans could not locate Sweden on a map.
Urban Dictionary did not invent the term, it was just handiest definition to use. And even Urban Dictionary mentions ELEX (made in Germany) and The Technomancer (made in France) as examples of Eurojank.
Biomutant is AAAA quality GOTY material.
