10 hours to complete for an open world game?
Is that accurate?

Strictly following the main story, yes. The same can be said about Skyrim, if strictly following the main story.

it says 10 hours when you rush the story, so when you rush skyrim story its about 8 hours but i wouldn't say skyrim is short to complete all the preview say its more about 40 to 80+ hours, so story will be about 20 + 40 hours or more of side stuff, its for me and most people the perfect amount of content, me personaly, i don't wanna have another 80 hour story with 70 hours fillers of it with 400 hours open world stuff to do.

Most open world games can be beaten incredibly fast. That doesn't mean there isn't countless hours of other gameplay

I'd also say I'd prefer less hours of a really fun game than many many hours of chore work for a bit of fun and call it a long game.

Main story wise, yes. Apparently there is a ton of side quests though.

You can finish Assassin's Creed Odyssey in a bit more than 5 hours. Origins in about 9. Horizon Zero Dawn in less than 5, Witcher 3 too. I wouldn't say that the time to finish the main part of the story is a reasonable measure of how much fun the game can give you.

Odyssey had quest gated by levels ...

it's around 25 and 50 to 100%
(that's from a dev by the way)

But usually I tend to play way more than that because I don't rush open world games (or any game for that matter) this is the dumbest thing you can do.

You can finish it in 7 easily (I did it in 10, but I wasn't in a hurry). The world record is half that, little more than 3 hours.

You can literally search YouTube for a minimalist let's play and see for yourself.

That isn't a legit playthrough though right? Just abusing glitches and not actually playing the game. It is almost impossible to complete the story properly in under 10 hours lmfao

And usual. GTA V takes 9-10 hours.

When you played so much and pay your games that you prefer quality over quantity.
