Add a "radar" to the game.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2504707945

This is of course from a different game - but in open world-like games this is common.

Add a tool to find later that includes detecting enemies, finding loot, finding bio pellets, showing yourself, showing a compass, showing various other things. This game has a strange desire to waste time by forcing the player to look around endlessly for things to 'clear the map' I've of course given up on the idea after a few minutes of looking around I just walk off and don't bother to clear the area anymore.

So.....a minimap is what you are asking for, not some ''radar''

I am asking for a radar. Read my post.

I don't really think you need such a thing in this game. The game kind of shows you the key stuff like resource totems, Biogoo, old world gadgets, etc. Through walls and everything, enemies aren't hard to keep track of since they have a habit of announcing their presence all around you. Getting lost doesn't seem to even be a problem since the layout of the land is surprisingly simple. And there is a compass at the bottom left corner of the screen, if you know how to use it, getting around the land is trivial. And Quest goals and markers stay on screen when you're not in combat.

What I would add is a way to add custom markers on the Map. That's what this game needs.

It does not. I spent half an hour in a biological biome looking around the entire map for 'dirt' to search because the fog of war is so thick.

Dirt? Like Dirt Patches to dig up? What specifically were you looking for?

And Fog of War is a problem? What are your system specs? That seems pretty absurd since I can pretty much see across the horizon even in the Rad Zone which seems to have the worst miasma of them all.

Or did they really implement character stats that deeply into the game? Because my little critter's got intelligence borderline maxed out. I'm just tracking everything that's in close proximity to me like it's nothing. The only challenge is figuring out how to get somewhere from the other side of the mountain and that usually takes me a few seconds of looking at the Map to chart out.

Yes - dirt.

To find a 'superb loot.'

Are you trying to say Intelligence gives you radar?

I'm not sure is what I'm saying... Because I see the glow of Superb Loot at a distance and that little "interact" bubble that you see near stuff I see through walls, ceilings, and floor when it's near me. Seems to have gotten easier and easier for me to find stuff as I leveled up my Intelligence and Luck (Which are the two stats I focused on the most), I thought it was just me (The Player) getting better at figuring out how to look for stuff. But after reading your struggle, I think having high Int and Lck might actually give you a sort of "Sixth Sense" kind of thing while exploring.

Not sure why you can see things miles away and I have to run right next to it for it spawn an interact button.

The only thing that visually shows on my screen through walls is typically resource totems and sometimes biopellet/interactive items with a very faint whiteish/greyish vibrating-like circle shape. This is only sometimes and I often have to be within 10-15 steps. Generally I find the totem visually or the item visually long before the vague icon shows up.

I have I believe 250+ points in Luck but I don't think attributes do anything so I consider that non-sequitur.

My only problem is that some of the loot location are really pain in the S, like in a corner of the rooftop, or on top a billboard that is impossible to reach and force u to run around and figure a way to jump to it etc etc. Not to mention the camera angle in this game also another problem, it dont really let you "look up" but more like look up in the sky through your backside.

Interesting. I'm not entirely sure myself. My stats are:
Vit: 60, Str: 60, Int: 164, Agi: 60, Cha: 76, Lck: 70. And my Class is Psy-Freak. I know the game sort of hammers in the fact that "stats do matter" since it wont shut up about it to me. And you can sort of see when the game is reading in your stats to check something (There's a weird Delay at moments that seem like it's loading in something, like a junction is being checked.) most of the time I figure it's probably something to do with your Aura (Mine being D: 31, L: 70). But, there are a lot of weird hidden mechanics the game is not upfront about. Like with Sol's Luggage. That thing's actually cool since it can fly, and no where does it even hint at having that ability.

OMG, do not add a mini map. This ruined The Witcher 3. All you ever did was look at that damn mini map.

I don't believe it is stats - but again, adding a minimap and then putting a radar function in the game is something the devs should strongly consider rather than wasting player time.

I've already learned my lesson by just not finishing areas - which I am okay with as the ultimate gear is vastly superior anyway and you can't modify your equipment anyway without breaking the resistance.

I am more looking at what makes for a 'bad experience' versus a 'good experience.'

If that's the case, you gotta consider people like me who absolutely LOVE the challenge of getting the way of the land. I like to draw maps in my head and move about the place, learning landmarks and getting around without any kind of assistance. The World Map helps for long distance treks (even in real life), but I believe having a Mini-Map would somewhat detract from that sense of exploration.

You show up to a new "undiscovered" place, and oh look, full map of the area you already have. Yea, it's definitely undiscovered if you have a full map of it already.

Maybe adding some Dowsing Gadgets that helps in finding items might be a better option than a "Here's where everything is because you can't be bothered to play the game" kind of system.

A Radar's good for tracking enemies, a Mini-Map is good for getting the way of the land, a Compass is good for orientating yourself with the world. Tools with various degree of utility. I would enjoy a Dowsing Device more than a Mini-Map.

I don't mind if people want to 'close' the minimap. That should be a function just like 'zoom in tools' and out on minimaps should be a function.

Again - giving people features never hurts you - just as being able to turn features off - never hurts you. I can't tell if my game is bugged versus yours as I can't see anything without getting right up close to it - where as you can apparently see 100 feet through the earth at everything. If I had your x-ray auto-detect vision I likely wouldn't even bring the topic up.

True I do think my game is completely bugged out the rear... But, I was never bothered by these searching quests and ordeals. I'm actually epic at getting the way of the land quickly and orientating myself around, even if I can't detect stuff through walls. It doesn't take me too long to quickly map out an entire area and clear it. Although turning off the Mini-Map's a new one, don't think I've ever really seen that one done before actually. And this is me talking from experience in other games, like Generation Zero which doesn't have a Mini-Map and you're pretty much stuck scouring the place for whatever the Marker tells you is in the are.
