Dual wield worth it?
I'm wondering how does the dual wield dmg and speed works in this game.

For an example: a 500 2 handed blade does this dmg constantly with every hit, but how would 2 blades of 200 dmg work?

Does the dmg simply stack? Or is it another way around?

Also the speed of your off hand weapon does not seen to affect the speed of a dual wield attacks, so it would be better to have one light in the main hand and always a heavy one on the other, right?

I may be missing some points, but please feel free to correct me.

Dual wield is fast...very fast. Very easy to stack for the LMB. LMB. F which has a final AE swing. The only issue I have is that it's to fast for me and I cannot keep up with possible dual wield speed using special attacks cause I'm old and my twitch reflexes are poo. That being said Dual wield guns and melee weapons is alot of fun.

Dual wield is insanely fun. The only reason I am not dual wielding right now is a found a component that gives me health back when I kill things with Melee. Beyond that I intend on dual wielding when I can craft a better weapon.

That same trait is available on 1-handers. Just need to find one. Pair that with the Overpowered trait on the other weapon and you are all set
dual wield is great early but once you get the 2 handed weapons that deal 800 - 1300 damage your gold

The dual-weild advatage would be about stacking weapon effects.

The biggest difference I see between dual-pistols is that pistols have low range. Which means you have to be relatively close to the enemies to hit them.

The boomerang does more damage than duel wield lmao. Double jump boomerang spin spam.

Dual-wielding is the only way, you get additional attack with left hand. Weapons weight does affect attack speed, you do not want to mix them. Do not dual wield pistols, unless it is your main weapon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaX5SKfi2nw

It has no damage and too slow, never use it as main weapon. Only to get close to enemy and increase combo.

I feel like dual wields bonus is faster freeze/shock if you have those on them.
poison, fire and radiation just don't seem very effective overall.

I personally found two handed melee way better early game and dual wield way better late game.

I went Sentinel and found it better than Mercenary which even to me is weird.

I went for Saboteur, so I've been dual wielding since start, although recently I carry a huge two-handed sword just to vary gameplay a bit. Not sure how the game calculates damage, but I haven't noticed a big difference between a full dual wield combo with two 200 damage weapons vs a 400 two-handed. Technically, the dual wield should do more damage since it does more hits, but it's not the case it seems.

This is something I loved about Skyrim, since it let you level your weapon skill, and that had the most impact at the end, compared to the actual weapon damage and number of hits. IT seemed more complicated, but at the same time it was more straight forward.

In this game it doesn't seem to matter as far as I've seen. Or I just don't want to put too much thought into it.

I used dual weapons whole game, and I think it's a good way to fight with lots of mobs. One Weapon was average weight 340-480, second was idk weight 235-330 with 2% bonus per 10 strength. So I had best hits at mid-late game on weaker area enemies (1800 x 2, critical) and in one sequence of RMB spamming there was 5-6 hits. I used once two handed weapon, it was very slow, that's my only thought. And I don't know if damage is so important in this game, dual wielding is simply very flashy (especially with fire bonus)

Dual wielding works great, but to be honest I am playing all kind of melee weapons to keep things fresh, the last weapon I have been using is a freeze mace that we can get as a reward or in a vault and it's awesome, it hits like a truck and it sounds like a blacksmith hammer.

Dual-wielding is the only way? What? A powerful two handed weapon that you can find early on will easily out dps any dual sword builds. I still haven't found one handed swords that are better than my current two handed weapon.

Boomerang does damage. Quite a bit of damage in fact. If you do that Double jump boomerang spin attack you'll be hitting pretty hard with it.

Dual wield is nice but it requires twice as many parts. I simply haven't found two good single-handed blades. Still pretty fun though.

Tww-handed blades took a while to come by but now I have a somewhat decent one. Found Crush weapons much earlier but I don't really like clubs/hammers aesthetically.

Honestly, it doesn't matter much. They are both fun to play. I just don't like the first combo of dual wield because the animation is sooo long but aside of that it's pretty cool.

dual-wield is good for having 2 elemental and 2 weapon perk at the same time e.g overpowered + remedy, and of course the faster att speed, but if compare with raw power, then definitely take the 2-handed melee, u wont really care about doing combo when u swinging an overpowered 2-handed giant blade that do average 5-6k crit per hit.
