How Are You Leveling?
I'm curious how other people's builds have panned out for them. I'm playing an unarmed, agile, psi freak.

M Weapon: Spark/Blaze gloves
R Weapon: Myriad Boomarang (expecting to replace with ankati bow.)

Spells
Red Wisps
Spark Ball
Storm Hop
Blink

Vit 20
STR 20
Int 126
Agil 106
Charisma 20

Been considering to add more to my str to improve my unarmed damage, but int is so addictive to keep adding to. I play pretty balanced, using wong fu specials then using Blink or Storm Hop to get out. I tend to initiate with Red Wisps or retreat and regroup with it. Spark ball is my main source of DPS, but the blaze gloves put in work too.

What are you running? Any strats you think might be overlooked? Are you full pumping into one stat or investing in multiple?

I went into luck until I had 100% crit basically.

I went around looking for str/vit/agi side quest bonuses I think I have a few more to find.

After that I just dumped into vit and str.

I think I'm level 38 now. My understanding max is 50.

After playing this game I think the most I should have put into luck was 40 or 50 based on the items and things I've found that boost crit and loot find so this character is technically a mistake.

Not sure if new game+ resets your level or what?

Currently my main weapon is a 2h flaming sword side quest from the light house secret room. I'm using the tribal bow as I haven't really focused on crafting a good ultimate yet.

I do 2200-2500 per hit with the sword and 1000+ per shot with the bow.

I should have maxed my character's vitality initially and then focused primarily in str and vit as agility appears to no have impact on ranged weapon damage. This I think is a dev oversight.

I think melee characters are superior to ranged based on craftable gear appears to allow HP drain and scaling with str/vit.

Certain mobs are immune to ranged attacks so you're forced to melee.

yea im maxed out luk 2. melee feels superior. gold/legend drops doesn't seem to increase drop rates, ur guarantee 1 gold/red when u clear a new area anyway under location discover side quest.

Putting a lot of points in luck for the additional crit and loot. The rest will be applied to strength and charisma most likely. Maybe some intelligence, agility and vitality every now and then to increase those stats a bit as well.

I may be wrong with this but I dont think the gloves are unarmed. If you look at their weapon type, they are classified as two handed, at least the blazing gloves are on my screen. And if you look at the wung fu tree, there is unarmed specifically, and than one handed, two handed, and the other types. Maybe I am wrong? let me know if I am.

Ive gone as a Psi Freak though I dont use those skills too much, they kind of suck lol. I have 2 1 handed weapons for dual wielding, both ultimate flame based weapons. For range I switch between the ultimate electro whatever rifle and the toxic whatever ultimate. I specced 260 points into int I think intially, and than 80 or 90 into strength and 1 or 2 in agility initially. Now im throwing the rest of them into strength. im a level 33 at time of writing.
Skills I use are the ice one, the rad sparks? the electric sparks from the light aura stuff, and the blazing dodge one. sitting at rougly 3500 - 4k health and 400 armor.

can confirm, they are definitely Unarmed. They use the unarmed moveset and special wong fu moves when you unlock them.

only lvl 10 right now

currently going dual swords, though i have to swap to gun for some of the big guys that are too dangerous to fight in melee, but i feel like gun is too easy so i've been trying to stick to melee

i can't get any psi attacks to work so ignoring those, since no matter what key i bind them to they won't work
dustin1280 May 30, 2021 @ 5:01pm
100 points in luck 130 points in str.

Everything else at base 10 (or 20) I believe

Mercenary class 2-handed melee playthrough

The rest of my points are going into strength

hold down the middle mouse button and press either alt, space rmb or e.
you bind them from the skill menu

ooof but i rebound middle mouse to photo mode so i can snap quick action pictures, that must be the problem

I'm doing something similar to your build. Focusing on agility although I've focused more on luck and strength then you have, my intelligence is fairly low right now.

I also don't have the Blaze Gloves yet, but I've been using the old world klonkfist tool, it looks like it'd be unarmed damage but I'm unsure if it makes use of those perks. Anyways it's better then the spark gloves and turns out you can use it to easily stun large bosses.

I've been pretty impressed with it to be honest.

Doing Hard Mode, Dark Path, Dead-Eye.

Balancing Crit (a little over 35% with the right gear equipped now) with Strength and the occasional point in Vitality.

I have a stupidly overpowered two handed Radioactive sword, and my main gun has finally settled onto a non-elemental rifle that fires pretty quick, but also does damage when exiting a foe (so, if the enemy is a big guy, that's free damage).

On dangerous foes, I spam Rifle Skills, then use all my wung fu meter to focus them down with just the gun.

For smaller ones, I like to use the Rock Fist to punch them into the air and then fly up to them for a slice-and-dice with the stupidly OP sword, which is almost a guaranteed kill on small enemies.

I am looking forward to getting SkySpark unlocked, although I don't expect much damage considering that I've been neglecting my Intelligence stat.

(I used to change my guns around all the time between dual guns for speed and shotguns or a Rifle for power...But now my rifle shoots fast enough that it fills all the roles I need)
