Cigarette Box Not Spawning

I just met the forest goblin and saw hugo in the frog mask head toward the first floor. Instead of following him I head to the 2nd floor, since I just got the gas breathing contract and remembered there was gas there. I then heard chapman screaming and did the initiation test thing. The guides say I should get a cigarette box out of this. the first time I tried, I asked for money, and when he threw it in the air, I was able to pick up some credits, but the box never appeared. When I asked for no payment, he went to the elevator, and I followed him, and the box wasn't on the elevator floor.

Am I just doing this task too early? Will it not spawn properly until a later point in the game?

They changed the cigarette box spawning with the DLC. You need to promote him to the fourth floor now to receive it from him. To do so just promote him to the third floor, enter the security room, locate the HR lady. She then asks for evidence so you need to interact with a stack of VHS tapes in this room to receive a blank VHS tape, use it on the camera area 3 to receive the evidence and bring it back to her. Once you're done just speak to Chapman to receive the cigarette box.

For now, the fix is in the beta branch. It'll be pushed in the default branch soon
