I think its probably inaccessible in the game, but i could be wrong
I think the sixth floor is locked permanently... There're notes that say it was the floor where Sintra and the Dot Matrix were developed.
It might be the Underwater office.... I mean, you go from the eighth floor to the fifth via the airvent... And the watertunnels lead 'up'?
I think that someone might have mentioned this to me before. How do you look at the gamefiles? I might try searching for solutions within. If i had to bet, it would have something to do with the cameras outside the security room. Does it indicate when you should be able to access the room? Maybe those robotron cameras have a key? LOL. anyway you are definitely right about the vents being like portals so why not the underwater caverns being the path to floor 6.
Btw, this makes me wonder why the androids were destroyed and how did they get a copy of Rei Sintra's memories after her disappearance. None of the androids should be the actual Rei Sintra unless there was some black magic involved affixing her soul to one.
It kinda makes me think of how Brian photocopies his soul to cheat death, except the "save/load" mechanic functions more like a "rewind time", instead of a "come back to life".
I would say that the 6th floor became retired when they dedicated the 8th floor as a garden.... because reasons. I also think if they do a dlc of the 6th floor, it will either be covered in roots, or be in some sort of flashback sequence.
The "cascading" floors is also why you can reach the underwater area through level 2; level 4 falls down into the level two cauldron if you recall, so again, levels 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 seem to be directly on top of each other. All I know is it's a weird and confusing building... lol.
But now that I'm thinking about it.... 2, 4, 6, and 8 do technically make up the snake's abode, while the other floors more or less are usually "safe". 2 is the cauldren/pool and the apartments, 4 is the dot matrix and the HR mouth witches, 6 is hidden, and 8 is the graveyard. the snake seems to live in some sort of crevice between the sunken water floor and a green fauna area with alot of rocky rubble... which I would guess is indeed the 6th floor.
This all is making me think the 6th floor was retired, the 8th floor was made into a garden, and the snake itself started to grow bigger, all around the same time period...like I said before, it would seem the snake made an abode out of that area of the building, by perhaps getting the 6th floor to be retired into an underground area for the 8th floor garden. idk though.
