This game is ok but Civ 7 is better.
Civilization is not worthy to kiss the dusty toes of Ōld World. Civ is dead to me. Long live Ōld World!

Do you own Old World on another platform than Steam? Just asking...
I gave up on buying Civ VII after I knew about the horrendous age mechanic, I confirmed my decision after reviews from gamers, and I decided to try Old World instead...

I learned how to play it, I did the 5 tutorials and liked it so much that I bought all the DLCs, before actually start playing. Old World is excellent, it is truly historical, it is not as comprehensive as previous civilization games, because the action only takes place in ancient times in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, but it incorporates dynasties, simulations, events and now natural disasters and we have to manage them all.

I love Civ V and Civ VI (with all DLCs and Civ V skin), I'm also loving Old World, the game is on par with previous Civ games and apparently way above Civ VII.

Ah, ok, I see it in your review. You played for the length of impressive 12 minutes. Perhaps you should have tested the free demo of Old World first, for to play even longer.
There's a free demo. Try it!

Bought it to leave a bad review, clearly,
Civ 7 is honestly pretty bad. It feels way behind the modern 4x experience, doubly so when compared to this game. I would not advise anyone who likes strategy games to buy Civ 7.

Okay, I get bouncing off a game, but the refund period is not long enough to properly evaluate a game like this. For your own use it's fair enough not wanting to take the risk, but I don't get how you then jump into multiple threads and very confidently state an opinion.

I have both games and think they are both good in their own right. However, I think Old World is a bit more complex. Graphically, Old World can't keep up with Civ 7, but graphics aren't everything.
Both games are very good 4X games.

The quality of graphics in Old World are very good though, I don't see anything missing in the game graphically and even the 2D illustrations are excellent.

I prefer the graphic style in Old World, it's more attuned and less cartoony. kinda CivVII looks a bit too much on the side of Fortnight characters,
