Does it matter who the tutors the kids?

So I noticed that tutors make it more likely to give the kids stats that the tutor is already good at. But aside from the likelihood of which stats the kids get, is a tutor with godly stats the same as a fresh tutor with mediocre stats?

One case I got which you should avoid is using an insane tutor. You get an event with a 50/50 chance of turning the kid insane as well. Are there other traits which influence the events you get with tutors?

If you hit the 70% chance of getting a stat increase, then aside from which stat is increased, the tutor makes no difference to the result.

If you get a tutor event, these can depend on a variety of things including their stats, traits, courtier type and opinion of you. Bad things can happen if you entrust the care of your child to someone you really shouldn't.

Tutor opinion of you will also affect the cost of the tutor mission.

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering if it was worth pulling out my veteran councilors for tutor duty for my heir. Seems like the only important thing is a tutor with good traits, opinion and the dominant stat you want the kids to have.
