Did I miss something? (spoilers)
So ive been in chapter 5(?) for a long while now and ive been struggling. I have finally completely run out of items. ive collected over $10,000 since the last time ive had access to a shop and no idea how im supossed to get more items. I figured i would find something soon and have been pusing through, but now i just encountered the boss in the computer(what seems to be the "final boss"), fight went on 68 turns until i finally died.
Have no way to move forward now because i have no way to get items and such cannot use abilites in this fight. PLEASE HELP!

I'll forward your message to the team.

We'll run a quick update to make it easier to respawn after dying (with more MP).
You can level up your characters and you can recover NRG by killing monsters in 1 or 2 turns.
If you're in the bunker there's also kalachnikov ammo respawning.

I figured out the way to potentially cheese it, where you can just collect a ton of ammo by dying over and over after collecting the 55 stack, but that doesnt solve the issue where all my other characters are useless because they have no "MP". you dont get nearly enough back from leveling, and honestly if you die, it would feel better to come back fully healed and recovered. not a further penalty. at least on normal difficulty.
Further though, how much are you expected to level by the bunker? because most of my characters are around 50-55 and do very little to this boss. And without being able to see how much health he has...i have no idea if im even close to finishing him.

Also, are support characters like Alison and Laura suposed to be useless for combat entirely? because the idea would be to give them the gun so when they arent healing they can HIT for predetermined damage, but they cant use the guns. So they are practicly meat shields with no MP, and honestly not even that.

Laura can use kalachnikov 2.0.
Alison can use only the normal gun.

The boss has 4 different forms. You can damage it quite a lot if you found the best weapon for Gary (a mace).

yes, ive done all that. and i get it into form 4 easily. but then its...well mechanicly a little difficult, which is great, but none of that helps with the lack of MP to be able to recover and fight it.
what level are you suposed to be at to do that boss?

I'm not sure about the level, I'll forward your question to the team.
I know that if you kill the monsters fast it helps recovering your NRG (MP).

Thats true, but by less than you will spend killing them fast.

I completed the game, but for most players the only way to progress in this would be a cycle of dying. Unless this is the intended route(doesnt feel like it from the gameplay) it really seems like the game needs some balancing.

overall enjoyable until the bunker though

We released an update to make it easier to respawn in the bunker. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I'm also stuck on the Bunker. I've gotten the ring of keys and saw the barbed wire but I cannot figure out what to do from there.

Have you gotten Orange?
If not look on the desk in the first room for the key. its sort of hard to notice.
I did the majotrity of it without her, but you do have to get her to finish.

I gotta agree, once you're in the bunker, you're essentially screwed. No real options for new items for NRG outside of pure scavenging, someone needs a Tech to give NRG, you're essentially screwed, and I did every fight, scowered for every item and it just becomes a slog. End game needs to be fixed as the challenge is ratcheted up so high that it's nearly imposible to beat without dying and cheesing.

Cheesing is how i did it. main character and 3 girls with guns. it works.... bare;y
There is a "Shop Box" as i call them in the bunker but it sells nothing. If that just sold NRG items the bunker would be fine. Difficult still, but fine. But you have over $10k at the end of the game and nothing to do with it.

The key on the desktop becomes highlighted once you need Orange to continue. If you go back in the office section, you will probably not miss it.
The game would become too easy if you can fully restore Gary's NRG with items, but we just ran an update that allows you to purchase unlimited items in the "Shop Box" that will help restoring your Life and the NRG of the girls.
An important item not to miss is the black mace in Gorski's room, it's the best weapon for Gary.

The mace still does what i consider to be minimal damage. and retoring the NRG of the girls is what was needed. You can use Laura to restore the NRG of Gary.
and "too easy" is not how i would discribe the last phase of the final boss. you are pretty much only using Gary anyway do to the girls being tied up every single turn. relasing them is fine, and 2 moderate attacks on the boss...but after 60 turns of this(with mace) boss still isnt dead if you arent able to fire off guns from the girls.
TON of luck and cheese needed. desperately needs rebalanced. Which is sad, becasue up until the bunker i actually enjoyed the combat of the game.
