You need a controller to play. We couldn't develop a good control layout for keyboard. We are open to suggestions or ideas though.

I'm highly disappointed, because this game is right up my alley--and I am a PC gamer who uses keyboard/mouse. I'm pretty gutted that I can't even play this game, and really not happy at all that if I want to play it, I have to go out and spend money that I DON'T have to get a controller.

I tell everyone this game is basically Brothers Tale of Two Sons and they managed a keyboard control but it was pretty bad. Clearly not the way the game was meant to be played. Embers is the same. Controller can be as low as $9 and worth it to play this MASTERPIECE.

Another problem is, not every Controller is supported for this game. I´ve got my SpeedLink Controller for many years and i can play every game, but not this one.

Update: After 1-2h configurations, settings and others i can play it now.

well ym problem is a bit different ... i have slight hand deffect that makes pretty much every commercial gamepad really painfull to use ... so I with a help og some fiends created custom made one thats not painfull to use
... problem is based mostly on keyboard input + autohotkey ... which basically makes game like this without any keyboard input support completely uplayable

ok so i tried:
- luckily unlike Caeris ...standard controller is suported ... but its uncomfortable/painfull to úůay :-
- the custom contrroller i talked about above partially works without ahk (i guess it has some xinput based stuff aswell) ... but has totally scrabled keys and some doesnt work .... so will probably refund the game , unless i find not painfull way

@Creative Bytes Studios: could you by any chance add controls remapping ??? At least for gamepad
... or maybe even allow kb/m inputs there so people can experiment with layouts

Had my eye on this for ages but a keyboard and mouse gamer on PC.

I just got a switch and gave the demo a go on that. It's pretty awesome but yeah - I can't imagine playing it on a keyboard so I'll be buying the Switch version! Someone mentioned Brothers above and yeah, that's pretty much the only other game i use a controller on!

Does this game work with the Steam controller? The steam controller only has 1 analog stick and 2 touch pads. Has anyone tried or can a developer comment?
