As soon as I saw the first digit behind the painting I knew it had to be part of the safe's code. I give you a hint, every time you... distroy a part of the hotel room you get one digit

What's strange is Once I destroyed the four items to get the four digits, they didn't work on the safe, I tried multiple combinations (/spoiler)

Did you follow the instructions on the wall, beside the safe? You have to press # to confirm the code on the keypad. You can press # if you want to just reset the code and make sure you're starting from 4 clean digits.
