currently on chapter 7 and here's what they have done
ally with the oda , oda fell > betray them
ally with the hojo then betray hojo soon after that
ally with the tokugawa then betray them again to form an alliance with the uesugi and i bet they will betray the uesugi soon... lol
i don't know why the sanada clan got so much reputation in Japan, they are literally a bunch of traitors, unfaithful soldiers
This.
Also, the gray and grey morality.
they all get #rekt in story mode
its not the entire Family are a bunch of traitors either... they stayed with the Takeda until their downfall (I mean then Shingen Takeda got assassinated if he did got assassinated as history isnt particular) is when ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan, as remember the Vassals of Takeda got split up between Ieyasu and Toyotomi much like what happened with the Hojo
I totally agreed with his every damn move, from those many betrayals, alliances of conveniences and deceits, that period of time culled out the weak really fast, and Masayuki made sure he and his clan wasn't one of those.
All the bushido / noble warriors is a late Tokugawa era addition (when they were all at peace and nostalgic) and romanticism. Plus the modern layer where not a single warlord is conquering for his own profit, but because they want "peace".
Shingen took control of the Takeda by betraying his father and exiling him, and then probably murdered his own son for plotting with Imagawa.
The noble Kenshin Uesugi, born Nagao Kagetora, first took control of the Nagao clan in a war against his own elder brother, then when the Uesugi clan (Nagao clan nominal overlord) was invaded by the Hojo, the defeated Uesugi asked for help. Nagao Kagetora agreed on condition that he be adopted in the Uesugi clan, and took the Uesugi name. In essence a reverse takeover...
The story of the Ouchi clan is also an exemple of betrayals and vassal taking over their overlords...
Just to say, the Sanada were not worse than other clans, and had a ♥♥♥♥ starting position, wedged between Takeda and Uesugi... (Play Nobunaga's ambition, you'll see :) )
