1st life
My first life I was a mother and I didn't know how to do anything, i picked up my child and said "I'm new but i will protect you"
I got a reply "O"
We ran into the forest and then i was brutally attacked by a boar, holding my intestines in I told the little one to run but she stayed by my side. We died together.

2nd life
I spawned 2 minutes before my brother and was given the name Anna, after that mother said "oh" when my brother was born.

Then never came back...

3rd life.
I was born to a on a berry farm... I wouldn't quite call this a village. My mother picked me up and dumped me in the middle, i was then picked up by grandmother Miravalentia Strong. She fed me and after naming my elder brothers ferret & mink, I was given the name birdie. (She was a creative woman)
I lived quite good for a toddler I was fed when i asked to be fed and wasn't killed by any random animals.

As I walked towards the edge of the village I would find piles and piles of bones 3-4 at a time it was during my little wonders around the village that I found my other brother wolf and a few of my cousins specifically brusha.
Brusha was great he told me all I needed to do was water the plants, he gave me a bowl and showed me where the pond was to get water and that was it, as long as i watered the plants everyone would have food and we would all live happily ever after. Finnaly a succesful playthrough...

After coming back one evening from getting water i noticed it had gotten quiter and more sparse, all my animal named brothers were nowhere to be seen and neither were my cousins.

(I was a brown girl with long black hair my cousins either had white skin with blonde curly hair or ginger straight hair and white skin)

It was just me and my brother mikana (Who was blonde with curly hair) , I asked him "what happened to everyone?" he replied

"They died, I guess"

I saw the grave of bones for my grandmother awhile back but assumed she died from old age... not starvation...

Nevertheless it was just us left now. He asked me what I could do and i told him I watered the plants, he said he'd bring the fresh soil and that was it for us until I developed into a woman.

On the way to the pond I had my first child, I picked it up before I could read the "your son/daughter" text and said "You are alex" and so my first daughter was called alex.

After everyone in the village died from starvation previously mikana was rather worried about me having children and wanted me to abandon alex at first I agree'd but then let little alex follow me around as i watered the plants, I fed her while mikana was out fetching soil for the berry bushes.
Alex was very smart for her age and once she could feed herself went off on her own to and became a real asset to the group.
Next came woodley and Maria Alex's younger sisters I loved my kids but I forgot which one was maria and which was woodley a few times. we all laughed and continued to water the plants.
As the kids grew up they would ask me complex questions that had nothing to do with water or plants like "how do I make a well" I would always say "ask your uncle"
Mikana my brother was very smart he would say wild things like "i want to build a resteruant", meanwhile i was just content with watering the plants with the kids.

I would have my first son and my last child which i called "lasson" (last son), he was curious and would ask his uncle all sorts of things they would run off together and have fun building their crazy things even alex would join in sometimes.

I hadn't seen maria or her daughter Niomi for awhile but I was so busy looking after all these new faces showing them how to water the plants i barely had time to search, the best I could do was ask alex and Woodley who both said they hadn't seen them in awhile.
I never would see maria or niomi again.

Alex had a daughter called elsa and woodley had so many children I forget all their names.

Elsa was bitten by a snake on the way to one of the ponds the entire village was devestated by this loss and by now I was an old woman.

Mikana and I sat alex and Lasson down while the grand children ran around and we told them the history of our village/farm. How everyone had died previously and we said it was paramount that they build this "well" contraption as a few ponds had dried up.

Alex and Lasson swore they'd make the well so a tragedy like that never befalls the village.

After that I picked up my great grandson humble and took him to the well I used to get water from, he replied "kl" and ran back to the village.

I stayed there and looked on I was so happy.

I died shortly after.

Loaded it up for the first time.
Was born into a small village family. Shortly after my younger brother was born, my mother passed away. She had fed and clothed me. Our aunt showed me how to gather berries. From then on, my brother and I worked hard to keep the tribe alive. A few died from starvation and the occasional boar attack. I lost my hair and my brother gave me his hat. At one point, we thought we were the only ones left, and we made plans to go out in a valiant fight against the boar. But when a lost family member had returned to camp and began birthing new babies, our tribe really started to flourish. Everyone tended to the crops as my brother and I scavenged. I found a wild horse, during one of my journeys and decided I'd make it my life goal to tame that beast. In my hasty efforts to craft a proper lasso, I got terribly lost. For days and days I traveled. I thought I would die out there. But my brother came to my rescue, he had been searching the lands tirelessly for me. We made it back to camp. It was really bustling with new arrivals showing up every day. I couldn't stay. I needed to find that horse. For the Tribe. No longer than a little while later, I had it. I proudly brought it back to camp and showed it off. I had grown old, in this time. My bones creaked. My back ached. But I had a horse. I spent alot of time just hanging around camp, beast in tow. Eventually, as both my brother and I felt the hands of Death approaching, we visited our mother's grave. Sharing in the quickly fleeting moment, I thanked my brother for the time we spent together.
And then I died.

For such a goofy looking game, that was a very memorable experience. In just an hour, I felt the highs and lows of life. I didn't expect to get so much out of so little. This game gives back, as much as you put in. And if you're lucky, you'll meet some cool people along the way.

Got the game after watching CallMeKevin play. Joined a cult and made Mama proud! Honestly checking on Steam Chart the game has very minimal active players on past months (beware it may die eventually from lack of players), likely the sudden gush of active players were from those who watched him recently.

Anyhow, honest review. After playing a couple of hours (3.5 hours as I write this review), so far it went well. I had 3 decent whole lives with supportive moms who tried their best. I did the same as well with my best knowledge as a newbie. The family/ community are very gentle and eager to help each other. Won't matter if you're an old/ new player because they'd assist you at their own best.

The game visual is literally simple. Crafting took me a while to understand. What will make this game different is you being in a small-large family/ community that you will be working with for 60 years if you don't die (game time) which is 1 hour more or less till you die of old age. Your children would either mourn on you, or venture. But it was wholesome enough.

Take time on the tutorial. Or if you watched Kevin play, you know some things from his Mama's teaching. As Mama said "IT HAPPENS!"

Game is surpisingly fun. First time loading in my mother was trying to keep four kids alive by herself. She was incredibly experienced, and she fully expected you to pull your weight. Her first words to me were "You are replacement" and thus I was. She told me she fully expected me to be in charge in farming and the duties carried within. One of my brothers died, and all she said was "I don't have time for the useless." My mother was cold and practical, but she kept us alive long enough to show us how to eat.

Twenty years into my life, we had a burgeoning clan of dilligent workers. It was an efficient existence. All of us fulfilling our specific tasks. I had three children of my own that I taught how to farm berries, wheat and milk seed for rope. I had a more light hearted approach to my babies, and I named them Hope, Legacy and Prosper.

Another ten years go by and my children are taking care of themselves. Mother is old.

She is still bickering at the young and her own children about how to survive. She taught us well.

Her time was at an end.

Useless, my older brother had grown up with her at her most harsh. He approached mother, telling her "We don't have time for the useless, do we mother?" Mother simply said "Especially the likes of you." Useless, our resident butcher, stabbed our mother to end what was left of her existence. No time to waste on those without use eh?

My children had more children, and I ended my days cooking venison pies for the workers. My last action was to tell my surviving children and grand children that I loved them. They told me they would bury me in the middle of my first berry field.

Game is amazing fun. This happened in the course of an hour, and was an incredible experience. I've played loads of lives, and I really enjoy the game. I wish some of the crafting was simpler, but overall it does what it sets out to really well. Putting yourself at the mercy of another player, and letting them nurture you and teach you how to exist is a really cool concept.

Good game, should buy.

After a few games where people refused to feed me because I was new, I met my Mom. The first thing she did was say "Hi bb" and give me a tour of the current village. She showed me where the food was grown, where the food was made, and all that jazz. After that, she clothed me, and gave me a backpack. She wished me good luck, and asked if I needed help learning. I said yes, and she taught me how to make pies. When I couldn't figure out a step, she would show me how to do it. This was such a great bonding experience with another player. I felt so close. When she died, I honestly felt a sense of loss. I was typing things like "No Mom! I'm not ready for you to go." Other players saw this and said things to make me feel better. I went back to the only thing I knew how to do, baking pies. I baked pies until I got old. Right before I died, a cousin offered to bury me. I asked if she could please also bury my mom. She said of course, and asked where I would like us to be buried. She said I will gladly take care of the burial, and I died of starvation. I honestly shed a tear. It was so beautiful knowing that I would be respected after I had already left the game. And that this random gamer would follow my request to bury me with my mother really touched my soul. This game shows me that humans are wonderfully compatible. This game is truly unique.

Just keep playing until you find nice people.

A powerful game that's more of a story. I was born and given clothes, picked up, and fed by my mother. I learned to make flour, then dough, then meat pies. I learned to cook for everyone in the city. I helped people I didn't know in real life, but who were my brothers and sisters. I had aunts and uncles who showed me how to farm. I had cousins who ate with me.

And then I had a baby. A girl.

I had to find her clothes. I had to pick her up every time she got hungry, as that is how you nurse babies in this game. I had to give her a name, which is a terrible burden when you can't think of anything and you only have a few minutes for her to be a baby.

She grew up so fast, suddenly able to make three-letter words and pick up items. She could feed herself. I watched her grow hair. I watched her meet my sister's son, her cousin, and they went berry-picking to make pies together.

And then I had another child, a boy this time.

Three girls and one boy. They were helpless for the first five minutes of their lives. They were my responsibility. I watched them grow up. They joined the community. They helped us feed each other. They farmed, and talked, and were part of the same family.

One of my daughters died very young. I don't know if the person playing her got distracted in real life or was new and didn't know how to feed herself. I know that she changed in an instant from a bright-eyed child to a pile of bones. I got a basket and took her body out to the graveyard. I buried her, and placed a flat stone as her headstone. As I returned to the main room, my baby sister gave birth to her second son. I helped her dress the boy and headed to the kitchen to make meat pies. Work never stops, and everyone still has to eat.

I got old.

My hair turned white. My face became wrinkled. My body sagged. I saw my son walking around with a thick beard, riding a horse and bringing baskets of food to people out in the fields.

My hour was almost up. I went into the main room and stripped off my clothes, the clothes my own mother had dressed me in a lifetime ago, an hour ago. I put them on the shelves on the wall, for the next mother to dress her newborn baby.

My screen went black. I died of old age.

I don't know how I feel about this game. I don't care for the mechanics for performing actions or making different objects/foods. But there's something strangely powerful about living an entire life in an hour, with random people you can't choose. It's thoughtful and funny and annoying.

10/10 am playing again even now.

I spend my time wandering looking for something to do and bringing dead people's clothes back to the nursery

I tell my kids to take my crown when I die and give it to their kids
I go with one of my kids to the graveyard
I give my crown to my kid
Some random kid steals it and runs off, knowing how important it is to me
I chase after them
I die before reaching them
I am as angry as a thousand suns
all this happened in two hours

For most of my games, I got abandoned in the woods and starved as a baby.

Then one day I spawned in a village with an auntie who didn't want to take care of us. The village was run by a guy named Locke who was making rabbit pies. He showed me somethings, but I had trouble figuring it out. As I got older, I ended up being in charge of naming and feeding all the babies, because I didn't know how to do anything else. I listened as Locke told my older brother how to make rabbit pies. Locke passed away right after giving that message. My oldest son Peter also figured it out.

One day, though, Peter came to me at the baby-caring fire covered in blood.

"Mom," he said. "I got bitten by a snake. Give my clothes to my little sister."

He died in my arms. Years later, I learned to make omelettes and did that for a while as well. Eventually, however, we did a head count and realized there were no more women of childbearing age left in the village. This would be the end. The remaining kids all thanked me for raising them, and then we passed on.

10/10 Game of the Year.

I was born as Eve, the first of my kind. I named my clan the Summers and quickly began scavenging for resources, naked and afraid. On a fateful evening I ate too much food and popped out a baby, as one does. I struggled with early motherhood as I gathered resources. CPS was hot on my tail as unfortunately my first daughter, June, succumbed to starvation. My next 3 children had no time to be bestowed names as they immediately turned to bones upon seeing my less that ideal circumstances. Alas, as I tirelessly worked to make a place I could call home, I popped out 3 more children, Rain, Junea (I misspelled June), and Bartholomew. Little did I know from there on I started something beyond me. I had the honor dying of old age surrounded by 2 of my children, their children, and even some grandchildren. I shed a single tear as I muttered my last words "I maketh dough."

I immediately started another life and was shocked to find myself in a much more advanced civilization. There was wood and everything! I was born as a lone child to my mother who was all by herself. Surprisingly, my mother was Junea Summer (I didn't even realize she was missing in my first life). I was immediately given a top hat and from then on I knew I was where I belonged. My mother showed me the ways of life beyond which I understood. She died of old age showing me how to make a pie, her last words being "Then u add filling." Truly inspirational.

Was born. Had no idea what to do. Family ran around doing their own thing. Mom named me and told me "good luck".

DIed young.

Was born a second time. Wandered around and ate gooseberries. Lived to old age but did nothing to help the village.

Died old and unhappy.

Was born a third time. Grandmother stopped what she was doing and asked me if I knew how to farm. I said I didn't and she showed me how to till and water crops. That's what I tasked myself with doing until one day my grandmother died.

As soon as she died, I gave birth to a girl. I named her after my grandmother, and showed her how to farm.

Another girl was born to my sister, but my sister died from yellow fever and the girl was confused and alone. I took care of her and my own kids. She saw me farming and asked me how to do it. I showed her how to till and water crops, and we both figured out how to get seeds and plant them.

I grew old, and got ready to die. My sister's daughter saw me and we both wished each other luck. Right that moment, she gave birth to a baby girl. The last thing I saw before I died was her naming her daughter after me.

Died old and content with the feeling that I actually made a difference.

TLDR; This game made me regain my faith in humanity after someone actually took the time to help me learn. It made me want to do the same so others can have emotional experiences just like I had. Buy this game if you like learning curves, working together, and unexpectedly crying.
