What happens when you run out of 'lives'?

So I'm pretty much dying at year 1 on each life. I'm guessing it's the influx of new people from the sale (one person even asked " are you new "? to which I replied 'Y' , and they said die and took me off into the wilderness). So what happens when I run out of these lives?

If you run out of lives you'll to wait about 10 minutes before you can play again. Keep in mind that lives are regenerating at the same rate in the background to a maximum of 24 lives, so as long as you live for 20+ minutes you'll generate more lives than you lose. For examples if you live till 60 you'll generate 6 lives during that life.

Also the dev recently made the food much easier, so hopefully mothers will be more likely to keep new players in the future.

Well, contrary to the 'food much easier' comment, I've burnt through almost all the lives. I had maybe 3 matches where I lived longer than 5 minutes, and dying at 1-2 years old was typical.

you need to stick to your mother and say f when you need feeding. where it's early civalisation, parents are also struggling for food, so if you don't keep up, or wander about, you might get left behind or not be seen as the parent will need to keep moving to feed themselves. if in a town just goto the fire and stand there saying f when starving. that should get you through th first few mins till you can feed yourself.

just listen to what the experianced players are needing you to do for them to keep you both alive.

That's what I did from the fourth death on, Daft.. It wasn't hard to figure that much out. In fact, it's not hard to figure much out at all, the issue is being powerless over your existence for the fist 8 years or so.

That works. I'll keep at it and hopefully it will work itself out after the sale influx slows down. Which is ironic, since I'm part of the sale influx..

I got dumped in the woods, I followed mom home and I became a successful farmer. In retrospect, she might have been new at abandoning her kids because clearly she didn't walk far enough and I was fully fed when she dropped me. Family get togethers were awkward from then on.
