Finite resources?
I spawned on a thriving community, sheep , gooseberry farm, good number of wells, although all close to dry, rabbit hunt, nursery, the typical nice spot. One thing i noticed was that it had no home marker.

People were travelling a lot around the base to find resources, so I figured i would do the simple job of getting a home marker, boy was I in for an adventure. There were NO SAPLINGS ANYWHERE, i searched thro all the grass biomes around the base on a long walk and found nothing. I ventured far and far eating a lot of wild stuff until i finally got a sapling for a skewer. took it to base, barelly found the base fyi, and put the home marker, victory.

Then I found out we were running low on iron, some guy went to get it with a cart, and he said there was no iron for 5 miles around the base. So, it is all made to fail at one point? The wells are gonna dry up, murders are gonna leech the tribe, and more and more resources drying up, including rabbits and clay.

Anyway, i think there should be a better respawn for MILKWEED AND SAPLINGS, aswell as a better way of grabbing water and mining iron, maybe create a quarry for small chance of iron drop?

there is a simple method to fix this issue.

Horses/roads.

Good luck out there.

Most of what you mentioned are not TRUELY finite
Iron, clay are finite but some things you mentioned do regenerate.
I don't think we can say anything planted or regenerated is finite.

Milk weed and saplings can be planted.
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Milkweed
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Sapling
(BTW saplings were actually nerfed a few months ago)

Ponds.
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Pond
A pond regenerates a unit of water every 30 minutes. It contains 4 units, with a 20% chance to use; resulting in an estimated 20 units of water. It can be harvested using a Clay Bowl or Empty Water Pouch.

Shallow well.
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Shallow_Well
It holds 4 units of water, with a 6% chance to use, resulting in an estimated 67 uses before turning dry. A shallow well will regenerate 1 unit of water every 30 minutes.

Deep well
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Deep_Well
It has 4 lots of water with a 25% chance to use, meaning it has an estimated 16 uses before it dries up.

It takes 45 minutes for a deep well to gain +1 water. Empty deep wells take 30 minutes to regenerate +1 water, so adding a water back into the well will only make it regenerate slower.

Rabbits repopulate
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Animals#Rabbits
Abandoned rabbit hole will take 1 hour to return to a growing hole. Whereas family rabbit holes will become growing holes immediately. Therefore, it is better to wait the 10 minutes to catch rabbits who have family.

Iron mines
https://onehouronelife.gamepedia.com/Iron_Mine
t has a total of 4 uses before collapsing, with a 20% chance to use for every iron ore you collect. This gives an estimated 20 iron before the mine collapses.

Also I is Jason's vision to create mass migration once all the ressources have been used up. He wants us to move away, to branch out, to go further and build new outposts, then go further again to try to find a new city location.

well milkweed and saplings were all consumed and didnt respawn in that village or near it, so I guess you get punished for people wasting resources generations ago(instead of replanting milkweed and saplings like that guy said). But that adds a huge difficulty to the game, its a game after all
