I think you just have to wait it out unless you contact the developer. Try the game's website.
Toffel Oct 5, 2019 @ 12:28pm
Only solution really is to wait until the people that cursed you go offline, or alternatively the 7 days.

That sounds really unlucky.

Curse you yamnoa

Just don't play games like this. Seems ridiculous that a horribly under par game would then limit you to the amount youre actually able to engage in. Garbage lined up nicely with thoughtfulness is still just garbage in a line.

Curse you Shepherd.

singlehandedly one of the worst things added to the game

the last sentence summarizes the game pretty well

the game has many hoops a player has to jump through before doing anything that feels like fun time spend playing
& only the top of that pile of unpleasantness are griefers, those fellow players who think to destroy the fun for other players in a multiplayer is good in game interaction
but in the end - it's not on those players, it's on the dev - the dev is responsible for allowing & in the case of OHOL even outright caressing & encouraging griefing as part of the "challenge" :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

that's why i am not playing it anymore, griefers, pitiful modders, beta testers & masochistic victim players can have the OHOL experience all to themselves

even after the hundreds of hours i played the game, it doesn't feel worth the 24€ i payed for it, it increasingly never felt like worth it, cause every positive experience was hard earned with tons of bad experience, for me the ratio stands around 1:5
for 1 great life one has to pay with 5 uncooperative, vexing, enraging, saddening & just bad experiences
now how many players will stay on board of a game with that kind of ratio ?
what's the reward for a player to play the game ? what's in for the player who's not a griefer ?

If you don't feel like you got your moneys worth why not get a refund?

All you have to do is email Jason and he will probably give you one. Here's at least one account of someone getting a refund this way(It's a while ago, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't changed his refund policy. Anyway it couldn't hurt to try if you feel like you haven't got your moneys worth):

why not get a refund ?

because the worth of a game is not monetizable
it's not money i lost but gaming fun

nobody can give me back the fun i expected & which was promissed & nobody can take away the unpleasant experience i had with this game
the only way how this discontent could be at least neutralized is if this game became better
so far it does not happen

i did not lost money, i did lost gaming fun
i just measure the gaming fun in money
some games are cheap & deliver more than they cost in money, other are expensive but still deliver equal in fun & some are a rip off
OHOL is disappointing, goes even beyond very disappointing to quite a let down
i get that the dev is a single man & i see that he's working on the game, it just is still a let down of a game
he's got my money, i hope at least he is content
i have hoped that he can do more out of the feedback other discontent players have given him, plenty of feedback he's got from people, but he's extremely selective with feedback & that means that for most players OHOL is a let down so far

@spielerinchen:

"but he's extremely selective with feedback"
ONE MAN (!!!) CHANGES THIS GAME FROM WEEK TO WEEK, sometimes completely. He codes, bugfixes, makes new artwork and animations, makes the taxes, manages the community, has a family, has some children, goes to meetings ... What do you expect? And remember, he is one single man. Some companies with much more people can not provide that!

Was bildest du dir eigentlich ein? Du bist nicht der Mittelpunkt der Welt. Du hast Pro Stunde gerade mal 0,05€ investiert. Geh mal ins Kino und kauf dir ein Paar Nachos, da bist du auch bei dem Preis. Unglaublich, was du hier von dir lässt.

Being an active developer is great and all, but when the majority of the changes made are opposed by the majority of the players, people have every right to complain.

I code, bug fix, make artwork, animations, go to meetings, etc too. That would be no excuse to my customers if my product wasn't up to par. I've never seen anybody complain about Jason's work ethic, but his execution leaves much to talk about.

Game + Update != Better Game

Game + Good Update = Better Game

Of course, but there are also solo companies that do provide that, lots of them. They also don't advertise game features in the trailer that don't exist in the game either. There's a lot of goofy stuff going on with this game, and it really didn't have to be that way.

Fair enough. Was only suggesting a refund since you seemed to be unsatisfied with what you got for your money. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Then show us your product please. I bet it's not even 10% as complex as OHOL.
