"Please Try Again" Scroll Bug

The scroll's effect is to "reset the floor". After receiving the scroll in the infinite tower/pyramid/etc. and the game going dark to (what I assume) warp me back to the beginning of the floor, it never lit or loaded back up. I was on a permanent black screen and had to alt+f4 after waiting for 2-5 minutes.

Arg, it's probably bugged with Infinite Tower. Thanks for reporting it!

Sorry for the necro but this issue is still present. Happened to me today at floor 18.

Bought the game today, my first playthrough....this bug happened. And I see the report of it is over year old. Refunding.

This continues to be an issue in 2024, though for me it happened in the first pyramid. It is the only time I have gotten this scroll.
