Picking up items issue

Really enjoying the game though there is a prominent issue with picking up items on isolated platforms or pillars. Jumping around seems to fix the issue though using the better items but faster expiring item badge makes the issue more frustrating. Sadly, where picking up a life sustaining item is so valuable this kind of issue is really a game killer.
