I'd love to see a proper sequel but the audience would be limited. The movement and partially the gunplay are kind of old-school for today's standards, kind of a hard sell for a wider audience, even if they perfect it. They'd have to shake things up too much to make it worthwhile (see doom eternal level of shaking-up).

I think the whole setting and the protagonist are charming, I wish they are enough to carry a second game but i am afraid they are not. I cannot speak for the individual experience of the devs, but as a company they are all over the place with their few titles that they have released, therefore it is harder for them to make a truly great sequel without any form of specialization in the fps genre and proper financial support like the 3A studios...

I'd say instead of a sequel, they could just do a 2nd game with different dungeon theme. Meso-American Pyramids would be cool, or Asian Temples. There's lots of theme ideas they could play with.
