2 reasons that is so.
Firstly, it starts at probably slightly above pyramid 3 scaling, which is good because that's the hardest this game has. The problem is twofold: The floors are each floor 5 or 6 type, meaning that they are really short.
Second, while it starts at like +230% enemy damage it goes up like +5% per floor all the while you keep getting stronger due to more scrolls. I bet floor 28 is like +300% damage, which would make the enemies hit for maybe 20-25% more damage than normal Pyramid 3 foes, all the while you have a dozen or two strong scrolls and maybe a curse or two.
Also, fun fact: I played for the day or so that this game was bugged and found out that if you have 100% or more DEF, attacks only deal 1 damage to you.
It's still a problem that after some floors you get overpowered.
Almost any enemie died after one or two shots, and they didn't make real damage to me.
It's fun for sure :) but it's not a real challenge, what it think it should be.
I played 12 floors and I agree, but the dev did increase the scaling somewhat though. I see the problem as something on the lines that if +235% is base, adding +100% is like making all the enemies deal like 20-30 more damage a hit. Yeah, I had some ttrouble, but only because I didn't explore each of the levels and went up the stairs the momentI saw them like any idiot would.
Nice way to earn gold for the normal runs I will say, but I see the infinite tower as something to do after I've maxed my tree and beaten the game.
Thanks for the comments! We've tweaked a bit more the difficulty scaling/ramping of the Infinite Tower. Can you guys check out the latest udpate?
I see, but I tried it for a little and it's certainly harder now.
If you can handle it, infinite pyramid is a method to getting gold to max out the tree. I just farmed 1st pyramid for 50+ hrs to max out mine though.
And another thing guys:
Do you also have the bug that the "replace your current weapons with random ones" scroll always gives you the same new weapons (Ankh and 2 others I can't remember). This scroll is basically a run ender...
It's a staircase going downards closer to the final pyramid. Also, you need to beat the game once first.
THATS a run ender? Heh heh, you do know that What are you selling?(takes a weapon away forever at random) and Level 5 Vegan(Unlimited Ammo until a new weapon drops but takes all other weapons away forever) are much worse than Sorry not Sorry, right? Oh yeah, and the No Thanks scroll is the only way to stop those, if you have it.
Something could be interesting about that:
Infinite tower is a special mode out side of the basics game rules "not 100% but to be vulgar"
As not collapse to the original features rules basics game mode, get 3 level difficulty in this mode could be interesting.
-Easy.
-Normal.
-Hard.
And for harcore lover of the game.
A T2 skill tree could be welcome :D
Im not conscerned by this request, but maybe one day, i will be fully upgraded, and i will be happy to have gold to spend again in a different skill tree offering different effect !
Need loot gold gold and gold :o)
