I had a similar run with Seth that was pretty powerful.
Pyramid 1, as the Redneck, my scrolls were:
-"Fast Fingers",
-"Payday" (very early on),
-"Wall-ray-vision"
-"Lucky vessels" (the "stuff in pots" one)
-"Telekinesis"
-"Artilleryman"(Increase ammo pickups)
-"Tortise"
-"Infinite ammo" (all small boxes are big boxes)
I got one bad one "Vertigo" (Reduce jumps by one), but I later picked up "Agility" (Increase jumps by one) which cancelled it out. That is the exact point I stopped picking up scrolls, because I then had the upside of 8 scrolls, and no downside. Picking up any more could risk screwing me over.
I had the Minigun as one of my weapons, because ammo was super-plentiful.
***
In Pyramid 2 as Sekhmet, I had been partly screwed by the Dracula perk.
- Acrobat
- Boss Slayer
- Plentiful
- Froyo
- Empathy
- Mr. Wayne
- Weak Bullets
- Dracula
- Infinite Ammo
- Rage
That was my loadout just before the Floor 3 boss, with Tesla Coil, Minigun and Horus’s Fate as my weapons. I was under half health because of Dracula and not recovering my damage taken.
Thanks to Rage and Boss Slayer, I beat that boss, and thanks to the power of the Minigun and Infinite Ammo, I was able to make good use of my weapons. I kept picking up scrolls, assuming my run was doomed anyway. My next ones were:
- Clover
- Bullseye
- Telekinesis
- Djin’s Fire
- No Thanks
No Thanks lets me turn down any scrolls I didn't want, so I was able to freely pick up scrolls. I chose:
- Tortise
- Heavy Duty
- Wall-Ray Vision
- The Fugitive
- Trap Disarmer
- Big Pouch
And rejected Speed Run and The Martian because I didn't want it messing up my jumps and movement.
I used the Burst Machinegun as my new Fourth gun, but I didn't bother much since my other guns did the job nicely. I made it to the 7th floor and even through I wasn't at full health, I beat the boss on my first attempt.
Best combo ever :p
Well actually I had a pretty good run but I had a lot of other good scrolls :D
That's because I also the Small F---ing Gun 9000 as my lone gun, and Bulletback, which is bugged. The bug gives you more ammo beyond your maximum capacity, so each kill I made gave me more bullets back, and as long as I didn't remind the game of my actual capacity for the gun by picking up useless ammo packs, the game kept adding more and more shots to the super-powered gun.
I ended up with 167 shots by floor 7, and only needed two of them on the boss.
-Cursed Favor, with a Ra's Staff and later my personal favorite weapon, the Tesla Coil
-Critihealth and Critigold
-Trap Disarmer
-Metamorphosis (shots fired turn enemies into chickens sometimes)
-Two Shields, putting me at 93% defense
-Wall Ray Vision
-Lucky Shot (doubled crit chance- pairs well with critihealth and critigold. lol)
-Three Bulletbacks
-Second Chance, just in case
So as long as I didn't miss shots and didn't pick up ammo, my ammo just kept rising. At one point a bunch of those club-wielding mummies were bunched up, and I went from 27 reserve ammo to 86 in about 4 shots because of the Coil's chaining. Also, just to test my defense, I stood in some of Fayoum's attacks and I took less than 10 damage from all of them, with Sekhmet's 400+ health. Ridiculous.
(The elevator room before was the one where you have to climb the series of floating platforms to get to the top of a tall tower, which gives me the most trouble. And the chest dropping steaks before the boss doesn't help if you're playign with Ammit...)
That is due to a quirk in how the infinite ammo is coded into the game: It also stops you from having to reload, where the 5 second reload is the weapon's only real drawback.
So now i could just gun down the homing projectiles instead of having do dodge them, which made the fight very easy.
