How to get rid of cursor trails... without downloading anything

Probably a common issue on new computers.
I know you can usually fix things like this with a few work a rounds or edits to files just looking for that sort of stuff.
The game runs smooth with no lag at all. Just the cursor leaves a trail like texture behind it.

This bug was fixed in version 1.1 win10. Unfortunately this patch is available only in GOG store.

Thanks I guess gog has already stepped up their game and is providing better service than steam now. It works great.

disable hardware acceleration in directx control panel and kill explorer task when in game.

Gog did it right so I just bought it on gog for 5$ steam needs to catch up with them because it seems as far as older games go gog has fixes for them already for you.
