Buying a land deed

I have 7500 gold on me and Im trying to buy a land deed (6000 gold) I get the prompt to buy it then I get a message from the carpenter thats "hes sorry and has to make a living " Any help would be appreciated

They jacked up the cost of land expansion and deeds just before launch FYI. They think you grinding forever to have some crap chunk of land is content.

You should be able to get a basic plot for less than that. If they are going to price it beyond what most players can afford, they need to add an auction house like most MMOs have.

All up it costs something like 10p 1000g for land and the smallest house. And then you have to grind materials to build it.

It could do with some tweaking on the costs. Im ok with the land deed because you can just pack it up and move somewhere else later if you want but the house cost was a bit of a rip off.

It is so small inside and can only have 2 secure containers. If it was slightly bigger and could have more secures it would be worth it.

It is a big advantage though having some secures when it comes to building other chars and being able to swap items between them safely

For me at this point, getting enough cash to expand my plot and afford a bigger house is just not going to happen for a long time.

I have to say that for an MMO the system and pricing they have elected is in my opinion way over priced for what it is..the economy of the game would be possibly more plausible for new players ( like myself) to not feel completely overwhelmed if it were lower. Also pricing lower would allow for lower pricing of player items for sale because they wont feel like they HAVE to make up for the huge grind it took to achieve. I honestly do not know how long its going to take me to make enough money grinding to be able to pay for one. There is no system of selling except for an out of game ( discord trade channel ) program unless you can make enough money to buy land etc.
An auction house would make so much more sense, post items and when it sells you come and collect your money..having your own place in the long run will be still effective as the player would no longer have to pay posting fees etc.

Once you get to master skills you can farm 10p in a couple of days np, alot faster if really go for it, so its not that bad. Problem with having cheaper land cost is that then everyone who try out the game will buy a plot and most of them will probably quit the game after a week, so then youd have a ton of taken land that everyone gotta wait for.

*update* After 2 days of playing I now have 4P and 6k gold so Im almost there from a plot standpoint...Im in such a hurry to place a plot because I remember the land situation in UO was horrible every spot on the entire map was take across what 10-12 servers...Im not going through that crap again.

Thats exactly what my situation and thinking was. It took a lot of hours for me to grind the gold in the graveyard but its worth it once its done. Then you will be second guessing if the spot you chose will be a good spot long term

Thats exactly what my situation and thinking was. It took a lot of hours for me to grind the gold in the graveyard but its worth it once its done. Then you will be second guessing if the spot you chose will be a good spot long term

Im in the graveyard as well its quiet there no one else is around . i just load up on bandages and cheap weaps and armor and grind away.

i lol at people saying you need to grind forever , seriously i started a few day ago and i can kill mob that give 1500 gold each solo. i do that for like 1 hour and i had way more money than needed to buy my land deed

Money is way to easy to get in this game to complain about one of the most core end game items... owning a house and land... in UO days you didn't have a house within a month of first starting to play, a house in UO was a big deal especially getting a house bigger then the starter little tiny thing.

but in this game you can do blacksmithing and do crafting orders.. once you start doing orders for cobalt or obsidian your earning 1p or more just for 15-20 item crafting orders. in 1 day of doing orders at gm you could easily earn 25-50p if you got lucky with the orders.

the same goes with hunting if you hunt in the right spots you can earn about 1p every 30 minutes the hard part about hunting though is having to go back to town to drop off the loot coins get heavy..

so do not listen to the guys crying about a house being more expensive now then before launch the is EARLY ACCESS the game will change that is part of EA.. the game over all is working much better then most EA games.. content is lacking yes but there are plenty to do still..

This is a plain lie. You could afford a simple house very quickly. And he is not even talking about a house, but the land.

*another update* I got land as stated before and Ive just spent another 8 P + increasing the plot size...dont have a house yet but it will come (honestly not a huge fan of the house designs they are kind of ugly IMO but ehh ). Loving the game, though it has a lot of issues, most are just annoying for me not game breaking. So making $ is not super hard . I stay away from the dungeons they are just cluster ♥♥♥♥♥ and filled with tools. So mostly I roam the countryside ..skill progression is slow though Im in the 80's in a few, 90 in healing after 31 hours playing and i have a full blown crafter thats 70's across the board in BS mining carp lumberjacking . Fun game hopefully we see some improvements ...like getting stuck ..un stuck is great but it dosent work when someone is shooting at you with a bow and they dont come within range ....servers go down a lot again not a major issue...again fun game.so far I havent run into any PK's , which is nice..not even sure where those zones are to be honest.
