What skills for a Warrior using Spears?

Hey,

I'm new to this game - gonna play for the first time during the upcoming weekend but I'm planning my build up ahead.

What skills should I choose and level up as a spear wielding Warrior? I mainly want to focus on PvE but also want to be viable in PvP.

Also one more question - are carpentry and lumberjack skills mandatory if I want to build myself a house? Or is there other way to obtain furniture?

Not sure about the second question I'm nowhere near having land yet. You can have multiple (5) characters though so even if you need those crafting skills you dont need them on your combat character.

IIRC the other melee combat skills are Martial Prowess, Vigor, and um... something. Healing for bandages, too.

yea make an alt for the crafting or you can farm on your main and just buy what you need from other players
