CAN'T DROP THINGS in Visage

When holding an item in the game the controls in the pause menu say to "hold B" or "Hold F" to drop held item but the items wont drop, thus making it impossible to progress. Does anyone have a fix for this issue or has run into similar issues? Any help would be awesome

been two years and the problem still exists. All we can do now is reload our save and hope that we don't accidentally examine an item. Which is really dumb for a game that's based on the usual "pick up and examine" mechanic.

Edit; forgot to say that you can't pause while examining an item so you really gotta reload the game to go back to your previous save smh
