Door stuck in basement, can't open the boiler room door to get to the vent/greed videotape

Title, what a sad fate, I've completed all the chapters but the door seems to be totally bugged out, every time I try to open it, it snaps back to closed. What the hell? There's no way this is inteded, right? I'm going to have to watch the ending on youtube, c'mon...

Can't believe what just happened. I finished the factory section for the mask piece, and at the end spawned back in the boiler room to collect the mask piece. Guess what? There was a lighter I had dropped earlier on in the game that was blocking the doors access. How insane. I got so lucky that the game decided this was the right room to collect the mask piece, otherwise I would've never been able to complete this game on my own. Ridiculous.
